Job 18:11-21

11All around 1sudden terrors frighten him, And 2harass him at every step.12His strength is 3famished, And disaster is ready at his side.134It devours parts of his skin, The firstborn of death 5devours his 6limbs.14He is 7torn from 8the security of his tent, And 9they march him before the king of 10terrors.1511Nothing of his dwells in his tent; 12Brimstone is scattered on his home.16His 13roots are dried below, And his 14branch withers above.1715The memory of him perishes from the earth, And he has no name abroad.1816He is driven from light 17into darkness, And 18chased from the inhabited world.19He has no 19offspring or descendants among his people, Nor any survivor where he resided.20Those in the west are appalled at 20his 21fate, And those in the east are seized with horror.21Certainly these are the 22dwellings of the wicked, And this is the place of him who does not know God.”
