Isaiah 53:2-5
2For He grew up before Him like a 1tender 2shoot, And like a root out of dry ground; He has 3no stately form or majesty That we would look at Him, Nor an appearance that we would take pleasure in Him.3He was 4despised and abandoned by men, A man of 5great pain and 6familiar with sickness; And like one from whom people hide their faces, He was 7despised, and we had no 8regard for Him.
4However, it was our sicknesses that He Himself 9bore, And our pains that He carried; Yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted, Struck down by 10God, and humiliated.5But He was 11pierced for 12our offenses, He was crushed for 13our wrongdoings; The 14punishment for our 15well-being was laid upon Him, And by 16His wounds we are healed.
