Isaiah 53:2-5
2For He grew up before Him like a 1tender 2shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has 3no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should 4be attracted to Him.3He was 5despised and forsaken of men, A man of 6sorrows and 7acquainted with 8grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was 9despised, and we did not 10esteem Him.
4Surely our 11griefs He Himself 12bore, And our 13sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, 14Smitten of 15God, and afflicted.5But He was 16pierced through for 17our transgressions, He was crushed for 18our iniquities; The 19chastening for our 20well-being fell upon Him, And by 21His scourging we are healed.
