Isaiah 22:1-5
1The pronouncement concerning the 1valley of vision: What is the matter with you now, that you have all gone up to the 2housetops?2You who were full of noise, You tumultuous town, you 3jubilant city; Your dead were 4not killed with the sword, Nor 5did they die in battle.36All your rulers have fled together, And have been captured 7without the bow; All of you who were found were taken captive together, 8Though they had fled far away.4Therefore I say, “Look away from me, Let me 9weep bitterly, Do not 10try to comfort me concerning the destruction of the daughter of my people.”511For the Lord 12God of armies has a 13day of panic, 14subjugation, and confusion 15In the valley of vision, A breaking down of walls And a crying 16to the mountain.
