Isaiah 22:1-5
1The 1oracle concerning the 2valley of vision. What is the matter with you now, that you have all gone up to the 3housetops?2You who were full of noise, You boisterous town, you 4exultant city; Your slain were 5not slain with the sword, Nor 6did they die in battle.37All your rulers have fled together, And have been captured 8without the bow; All of you who were found were taken captive together, 9Though they had fled far away.4Therefore I say, “Turn your eyes away from me, Let me 10weep bitterly, Do not 11try to comfort me concerning the destruction of the daughter of my people.”512For the Lord 13God of hosts has a 14day of panic, 15subjugation and confusion 16In the valley of vision, A breaking down of walls And a crying 17to the mountain.
