Hebrews 10:23-36

23Let’s hold firmly to the 1confession of our 2hope without wavering, for 3He who promised is faithful; 24and let’s consider how 4to 5encourage one another in love and 6good deeds, 25not abandoning our own 7meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but 8encouraging one another; and all the more as you see 9the day drawing near.

26For if we go on 10sinning willfully after receiving 11the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27but a terrifying expectation of 12judgment and 13the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries. 2814Anyone who has ignored the Law of Moses is put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 2915How much more severe punishment do you think he will deserve 16who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean 17the blood of the covenant 18by which he was sanctified, and has 19insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know Him who said, “20Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” And again, “21The Lord will judge His people.” 31It is a 22terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the 23living God.

32But remember 24the former days, 25when, after being 26enlightened, you endured a great 27conflict of sufferings, 33partly by being 28made a public spectacle through insults and distress, and partly by becoming 2930companions with those who were so treated. 34For you 31showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted 32joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves 33a better and lasting possession. 35Therefore, do not throw away your 34confidence, which has a great 35reward. 36For you have need of 36endurance, so that when you have 37done the will of God, you may 38receive 39what was promised.
