Hebrews 10:23-36

23Let us hold fast the 1confession of our 2hope without wavering, for 3He who promised is faithful; 24and let us consider how 4to stimulate one another to love and 5good deeds, 25not forsaking our own 6assembling together, as is the habit of some, but 7encouraging one another; and all the more as you see 8the day drawing near.

26For if we go on 9sinning willfully after receiving 10the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27but a terrifying expectation of 11judgment and 12the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries. 2813Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 2914How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve 15who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean 16the blood of the covenant 17by which he was sanctified, and has 18insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know Him who said, “19Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” And again, “20The Lord will judge His people.” 31It is a 21terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the 22living God.

32But remember 23the former days, 24when, after being 25enlightened, you endured a great 26conflict of sufferings, 33partly by being 27made a public spectacle through reproaches and tribulations, and partly by becoming 28sharers with those who were so treated. 34For you 29showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted 30joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves 31a better possession and a lasting one. 35Therefore, do not throw away your 32confidence, which has a great 33reward. 36For you have need of 34endurance, so that when you have 35done the will of God, you may 36receive 37what was promised.
