2 Corinthians 11:18-30

18Since 1many boast 2according to the flesh, I will boast also. 19For you, 3being so wise, tolerate the foolish gladly. 20For you tolerate it if anyone 4enslaves you, if anyone 5devours you, if anyone 6takes advantage of you, if anyone 7exalts himself, if anyone 8hits you in the face. 21To my 9shame I must say that we have been 10weak by comparison.

But in whatever respect anyone else 11is bold--I am 12speaking in foolishness--I too am bold. 22Are they 13Hebrews? 14So am I. Are they 15Israelites? 16So am I. Are they 1718descendants of Abraham? 19So am I. 23Are they 20servants of Christ?--I am speaking as if insane--I more so; in 21far more labors, in 22far more imprisonments, 2324beaten times without number, often in danger of 25death. 24Five times I received from the Jews 26thirty-nine lashes. 25Three times I was 27beaten with rods, once I was 28stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent adrift at sea. 26I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my 29countrymen, dangers from the 30Gentiles, dangers in the 31city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers at sea, dangers among 32false brothers; 27I have been in 33labor and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in 34hunger and thirst, often 35without food, in cold and 3637exposure. 28Apart from such 38external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for 39all the churches. 29Who is 40weak without my being weak? Who is 41led into sin 42without my intense concern?

30If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my 43weakness.
