1 Thessalonians 1:8-10

8For 1the word of the Lord has 2sounded forth from you, not only in 3Macedonia and 4Achaia, but 5in every place the news of your faith toward God has gone out, so that we have no need to say anything.

9For they themselves report about us 6as to the kind of 7reception we had with you, and how you 8turned to God 9from 10idols to serve 11 12a living and true God,

10and to 13wait for His Son from 14heaven, whom He 15raised from the dead, that is, Jesus who 16rescues us from 17the wrath to come.
