1 Thessalonians 1:8-10

8For 1the word of the Lord has 2sounded forth from you, not only in 3Macedonia and 4Achaia, but also 5in every place your faith toward God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything.

9For they themselves report about us what kind of a 6 7reception we had 8with you, and how you 9turned to God 10from 11idols to serve 12 13a living and true God,

10and to 14wait for His Son from 15heaven, whom He 16raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who 17rescues us from 18the wrath to come.
