1 Thessalonians 1:7-10

7so that you became an example to all the believers in 1Macedonia and 2Achaia.

8For 3the word of the Lord has 4sounded forth from you, not only in 5Macedonia and 6Achaia, but 7in every place the news of your faith toward God has gone out, so that we have no need to say anything.

9For they themselves report about us 8as to the kind of 9reception we had with you, and how you 10turned to God 11from 12idols to serve 13 14a living and true God,

10and to 15wait for His Son from 16heaven, whom He 17raised from the dead, that is, Jesus who 18rescues us from 19the wrath to come.
