1 Thessalonians 1:7-10

7so that you became an example to all the believers in 1Macedonia and in 2Achaia.

8For 3the word of the Lord has 4sounded forth from you, not only in 5Macedonia and 6Achaia, but also 7in every place your faith toward God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything.

9For they themselves report about us what kind of a 8 9reception we had 10with you, and how you 11turned to God 12from 13idols to serve 14 15a living and true God,

10and to 16wait for His Son from 17heaven, whom He 18raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who 19rescues us from 20the wrath to come.
