Thessalonians 1:3-8

constantly keeping in mind your 1work of faith and labor of 2love and 3 4perseverance of hope 5in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of 6our God and Father,

knowing, 7brothers and sisters, beloved by God, 8His choice of you;

for our 9gospel did not come to you in word only, but also 10in power and in the Holy Spirit and with 11full conviction; just as you know 12what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sakes.

You also became 13imitators of us and of the Lord, 14having received 15the word during great affliction with the 16joy of the Holy Spirit,

so that you became an example to all the believers in 17Macedonia and 18Achaia.

For 19the word of the Lord has 20sounded forth from you, not only in 21Macedonia and 22Achaia, but 23in every place the news of your faith toward God has gone out, so that we have no need to say anything.
