1 Thessalonians 1:3-8

3constantly bearing in mind your 1work of faith and labor of 2love and 3 4steadfastness of hope 5in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of 6our God and Father,

4knowing, 7brethren beloved by God, 8His choice of you;

5for our 9gospel did not come to you in word only, but also 10in power and in the Holy Spirit and with 11full conviction; just as you know 12what kind of men we 13proved to be among you for your sake.

6You also became 14imitators of us and of the Lord, 15having received 16the word in much tribulation with the 17joy of the Holy Spirit,

7so that you became an example to all the believers in 18Macedonia and in 19Achaia.

8For 20the word of the Lord has 21sounded forth from you, not only in 22Macedonia and 23Achaia, but also 24in every place your faith toward God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything.
