Judges 15:8-20

8He struckH5221 them 1ruthlesslyH7785H5921H3409 with a greatH1419 slaughterH4347; and he wentH3381 downH3381 and livedH3427 in the cleftH5585 of the rockH5553 of EtamH5862.

9Then the PhilistinesH6430 wentH5927 up and campedH2583 in JudahH3063, and spreadH6566 out in LehiH3896. 10The menH376 of JudahH3063 saidH559, “WhyH4100 have you comeH5927 up againstH5921 us?” And they saidH559, “We have comeH5927 up to bindH631 SamsonH8123 in order to doH6213 to him as he didH6213 to us.” 11Then 3,000H7969H505 menH376 of JudahH3063 wentH3381 downH3381 to the cleftH5585 of the rockH5553 of EtamH5862 and saidH559 to SamsonH8123, “Do you not knowH3045 2that the PhilistinesH6430 are rulersH4910 over us? WhatH4100 then is thisH2088 that you have doneH6213 to us?” And he saidH559 to them, “As they didH6213 to me, soH3651 I have doneH6213 to them.” 12They saidH559 to him, “We have comeH3381 downH3381 to bindH631 you so that we may giveH5414 you into the handsH3027 of the PhilistinesH6430.” And SamsonH8123 saidH559 to them, “SwearH7650 to me that you will not 3killH6293 me.” 13So they saidH559 to 4him, “NoH3808, but we will bindH631 you fastH631 and giveH5414 you into their handsH3027; yet surelyH4191 we will not killH4191 you.” Then they boundH631 him with twoH8147 newH2319 ropesH5688 and broughtH5927 him up from the rockH5553.

14When he cameH935 to LehiH3896, the PhilistinesH6430 shoutedH7321 as they metH7122 him. And 5the SpiritH7307 of the LordH3068 6cameH6743 upon him mightilyH6743 so that the ropesH5688 that were on his armsH2220 were as flaxH6593 that is burnedH1197 with fireH784, and his bondsH612 7droppedH4549 from his handsH3027. 15He foundH4672 a freshH2961 jawboneH3895 of a donkeyH2543, so he 8reachedH7971H3027 out and tookH3947 it and 9killedH5221 10a thousandH505 menH376 with it. 16Then SamsonH8123 saidH559, “With the jawboneH3895 of a donkeyH2543, 11HeapsH2565 upon heapsH2565, With the jawboneH3895 of a donkeyH2543 I have 12killedH5221 a thousandH505 menH376.” 17When he had finishedH3615 speakingH1696, he threwH7993 the jawboneH3895 from his handH3027; and he namedH7121 that placeH4725 13Ramath-lehiH7437. 18Then he becameH6770 veryH3966 thirstyH6770, and he 14calledH7121 to the LordH3068 and saidH559, “You have givenH5414 thisH2088 greatH1419 deliveranceH8668 by the handH3027 of Your servantH5650, and nowH6258 15shall I dieH4191 of thirstH6772 16and fallH5307 into the handsH3027 of the uncircumcisedH6189?” 19But GodH430 splitH1234 the hollowH4388 place that is in LehiH3896 so that waterH4325 cameH3318 out of it. When he drankH8354, 17his 18strengthH7307 returnedH7725 and he revivedH2421. ThereforeH5921H3651 he namedH7121H8034 it 19En-hakkoreH5875, whichH834 is in LehiH3896 to thisH2088 dayH3117. 20So 20he judgedH8199 IsraelH3478 twentyH6242 yearsH8141 in 21the daysH3117 of the PhilistinesH6430.
