The Response to God’s Rebuke
1“1ComeH1980, let us returnH7725 to the LordH3068. For 2He has tornH2963 us, but 3He will healH7495 us; He has 4woundedH5221 us, but He will 5bandageH2280 us.2He will 6reviveH2421 us afterH4480 two daysH3117; He will 7raiseH6965 us up on the thirdH7992 dayH3117, That we may liveH2421 beforeH6440 Him.3So let us 8knowH3045, let us pressH7291 on to knowH3045 the LordH3068. His 9goingH4161 forthH4161 is as certainH3559 as the dawnH7837; And He will comeH935 to us like the 10rainH1653, Like the springH4456 rainH4456 wateringH3384 the earthH776.”
4WhatH4100 shall I doH6213 with you, O 11EphraimH669? WhatH4100 shall I doH6213 with you, O JudahH3063? For your 12loyaltyH2617 is like a 13morningH1242 cloudH6051 And like the dewH2919 which goesH1980 away earlyH7925.5ThereforeH5921H3651 I have 14hewnH2672 them in piecesH2672 by the prophetsH5030; I have slainH2026 them by the 15wordsH561 of My mouthH6310; And the judgmentsH4941 on you are like the lightH216 that goesH3318 forthH3318.6For 16I delightH2654 in loyaltyH2617 17ratherH3808 thanH3808 sacrificeH2077, And in the knowledgeH1847 of GodH430 ratherH4480 thanH4480 burntH5930 offeringsH5930.7But 18like 19AdamH121 they have 20transgressedH5674 the covenantH1285; ThereH8033 they have 21dealtH898 treacherouslyH898 against Me.822GileadH1568 is a cityH7151 of wrongdoersH205, TrackedH6121 with 23bloodyH1818 footprints.9And as 24raidersH1416 waitH2442 for a manH376, So a bandH2267 of priestsH3548 25murderH7523 on the wayH1870 to ShechemH7927; SurelyH3588 they have committedH6213 2627crimeH2154.10In the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 I have seenH7200 a 28horribleH8186 thingH8186; Ephraim’sH669 29harlotryH2184 is thereH8033, IsraelH3478 has defiledH2930 itself.11AlsoH1571, O JudahH3063, there is a 30harvestH7105 appointed for you, When I 31restoreH7725 the fortunesH7622 of My peopleH5971.
