God’s Controversy with Israel

11ListenH8085 to the wordH1697 of the LordH3068, O sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, For the LordH3068 has a 2caseH7379 againstH5973 the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776, BecauseH3588 thereH369 is 3noH369 4faithfulnessH571 or 5kindnessH2617 Or 6knowledgeH1847 of GodH430 in the landH776.2There is 7swearingH422, 8deceptionH3584, 9murderH7523, 10stealingH1589 and 11adulteryH5003. They employH6555 violenceH6555, so that 12bloodshedH1818 13followsH5060 bloodshedH1818.3ThereforeH5921H3651 the landH776 14mournsH56, And everyoneH3605 who livesH3427 in it languishesH535 Along with the beastsH2421 of the fieldH7704 and the birdsH5775 of the skyH8064, And alsoH1571 the fishH1709 of the seaH3220 15disappearH622.

4YetH389 let noH408 oneH376 1617findH7378 faultH7378, and let noneH408H376 offerH3198 reproofH3198; For your peopleH5971 are like those who 18contendH7378 with the priestH3548.5So you will 19stumbleH3782 by dayH3117, And the prophetH5030 alsoH1571 will stumbleH3782 with you by nightH3915; And I will destroyH1820 your 20motherH517.621My peopleH5971 are destroyedH1820 for lackH369 of knowledgeH1847. BecauseH3588 you have 22rejectedH3988 knowledgeH1847, I also will 23rejectH3988 you from being My priestH3547. Since you have 24forgottenH7911 the 25lawH8451 of your GodH430, I alsoH1571 will forgetH7911 your childrenH1121.

7The more they 26multipliedH7231, the moreH3651 they sinnedH2398 against Me; I will 27changeH4171 their gloryH3519 into shameH7036.8They 28feedH398 on the 29sinH2403 of My peopleH5971 And 30directH5375 their desireH5315 towardH413 their iniquityH5771.9And it will be, like peopleH5971, 31like priestH3548; So I will 32punishH6485 them for their waysH1870 And repayH7725 them for their deedsH4611.1033They will eatH398, but not haveH7646 enoughH7646; They will 34playH2181 the harlotH2181, but not increaseH6555, BecauseH3588 they have 3536stoppedH5800 givingH8104 heedH8104 to the LordH3068.

11HarlotryH2184, 37wineH3196 and newH8492 wineH8492 takeH3947 away the 38understandingH3820.12My peopleH5971 39consultH7592 their woodenH6086 idol, and their diviner’s wandH4731 informsH5046 them; For a spiritH7307 of harlotryH2183 has ledH8582 them astrayH8582, And they have playedH2181 the harlotH2181, departing 40from their GodH430.13They offerH2076 sacrificesH2076 on the 41topsH7218 of the mountainsH2022 And 4243burnH6999 incenseH6999 on the hillsH1389, 44UnderH8478 oakH437, poplarH3839 and terebinthH424, BecauseH3588 their shadeH6738 is pleasantH2896. ThereforeH5921H3651 your daughtersH1323 playH2181 the harlotH2181 And your 45bridesH3618 commitH5003 adulteryH5003.14I will not punishH6485 your daughtersH1323 whenH3588 they playH2181 the harlotH2181 Or your 46bridesH3618 whenH3588 they commitH5003 adulteryH5003, For the men themselvesH1992 goH6504 apartH6504 with harlotsH2181 And offerH2076 sacrificesH2076 with 47templeH6945 prostitutesH6945; So the peopleH5971 withoutH3808 understandingH995 are 48ruinedH3832.

15ThoughH518 you, IsraelH3478, playH2181 the harlotH2181, Do not let JudahH3063 becomeH816 guiltyH816; Also do not goH935 to 49GilgalH1537, Or goH5927 up to Beth-avenH1007 50And takeH7650 the oathH7650: “As the LordH3068 livesH2416!”16SinceH3588 IsraelH3478 is 51stubbornH5637 Like a stubbornH5637 heiferH6499, 52Can the LordH3068 nowH6258 53pastureH7462 them Like a lambH3532 in a largeH4800 fieldH4800?17EphraimH669 is joinedH2266 to 54idolsH6091; 55LetH5117 him aloneH5117.18Their liquorH5435 goneH5493, They playH2181 the harlotH2181 continuallyH2181; 56Their 57rulersH4043 dearlyH157 loveH157 shameH7036.1958The windH7307 wrapsH6887 them in its wingsH3671, And they will be ashamedH954 becauseH4480 of their sacrificesH2077.
