Daniel 8:4-21
4I sawH7200 the ramH352 1buttingH5055 westwardH3220, northwardH6828, and southwardH5045, and noH3808 other beastsH2421 could standH5975 beforeH6440 him norH369 was thereH369 anyone to rescueH5337 from his 2powerH3027, but 3he didH6213 as he pleasedH7522 and magnifiedH1431 himself.
5While I was observingH995, beholdH2009, a maleH6842 goatH6842 was comingH935 from the westH4628 overH5921 the surfaceH6440 of the wholeH3605 earthH776 withoutH369 touchingH5060 the groundH776; and the 4goatH6842 had a 5conspicuousH2380 hornH7161 betweenH996 his eyesH5869. 6He cameH935 up to the ramH352 that had the two hornsH7161, whichH834 I had seenH7200 standingH5975 in frontH6440 of the 6canalH180, and rushedH7323 at him in his mightyH3581 wrathH2534. 7I sawH7200 him comeH5060 besideH681 the ramH352, and he was enragedH4843 at him; and he struckH5221 the ramH352 and shatteredH7665 his twoH8147 hornsH7161, and the ramH352 hadH1961 noH3808 strengthH3581 to withstandH5975 him. So he hurledH7993 him to the groundH776 and trampledH7429 on him, and there was noneH3808 to rescueH5337 the ramH352 from his 7powerH3027. 8Then the maleH6842 goatH5795 magnifiedH1431 himself exceedinglyH5704H3966. But as soon as 8he was mightyH6105, the 9largeH1419 hornH7161 was brokenH7665; and in its placeH8478 there cameH5927 up fourH702 conspicuousH2380 horns toward the 10fourH702 windsH7307 of heavenH8064.
9Out of oneH259 of them cameH3318 forthH3318 a rather 11smallH6810 hornH7161 which grewH1431 exceedinglyH3499 greatH1431 towardH413 the southH5045, towardH413 the eastH4217, and towardH413 the 1213BeautifulH6643 Land. 10It grewH1431 up to the hostH6635 of heavenH8064 and caused someH4480 of the hostH6635 and someH4480 of the 14starsH3556 to fallH5307 to the earthH776, and it 15trampledH7429 them downH7429. 11It evenH5704 16magnifiedH1431 itself 17to be equalH5704 with the 18CommanderH8269 of the hostH6635; and it removedH7311 the 19regularH8548 sacrificeH8548 from Him, and the placeH4349 of His sanctuaryH4720 was thrownH7993 downH7993. 12And on account of transgressionH6588 the hostH6635 will be givenH5414 over to the horn alongH5921 with the regularH8548 sacrificeH8548; and it will 20flingH7993 truthH571 to the groundH776 and performH6213 its will and prosperH6743. 13Then I heardH8085 a 21holyH6918 oneH6918 speakingH1696, and anotherH259 holyH6918 oneH6918 saidH559 to that particularH6423 oneH6423 who was speakingH1696, “22HowH4970 longH5704H4970 will the visionH2377 about the regularH8548 sacrificeH8548 apply, 23while the transgressionH6588 causesH8074 horrorH8074, so as to allowH5414 both the holyH6944 place and the hostH6635 24to be 25trampledH4823?” 14He saidH559 to me, “For 262,300H505H7969H3967 eveningsH6153 and morningsH1242; then the holyH6944 place will be 27properlyH6663 restoredH6663.”
15When 28I, DanielH1840, had seenH7200 the visionH2377, I soughtH1245 29to understandH998 it; and beholdH2009, standingH5975 beforeH5048 me was one 30whoH4758 lookedH4758 like a 31manH1397. 16And I heardH8085 the voiceH6963 of a manH120 betweenH996 the banks of UlaiH195, and he calledH7121 out and saidH559, “32GabrielH1403, giveH995 thisH1975 man an understandingH995 of the visionH4758.” 17So he cameH935 nearH681 to whereH5977 I was standingH5977, and when he cameH935 I was frightenedH1204 and 33fellH5307 on my faceH6440; but he saidH559 to me, “SonH1121 of manH120, understandH995 that the visionH2377 pertains to the 34timeH6256 of the endH7093.”
18Now while he was talkingH1696 with me, I 35sankH7290 into a deepH7290 sleepH7290 with my faceH6440 to the groundH776; but he 36touchedH5060 me and made me standH5975 37uprightH5921H5977. 19He saidH559, “BeholdH2009, I am going to 38let you knowH3045 whatH834 will occurH1961 at the finalH319 periodH319 of the indignationH2195, for it pertains to the appointedH4150 timeH4150 of the endH7093. 20The 39ramH352 whichH834 you sawH7200 with the two hornsH7161 represents the kingsH4428 of MediaH4074 and PersiaH6539. 21The shaggyH8163 40goatH5795 represents the 41kingdomH4428 of GreeceH3120, and the largeH1419 hornH7161 that is betweenH996 his eyesH5869 is the firstH7223 kingH4428.
