2 Samuel 23:13-17
13Then threeH7969 of the thirtyH7970 chiefH7218 menH7218 wentH3381 downH3381 and cameH935 to DavidH1732 in the harvestH7105 timeH7105 to the 1caveH4631 of AdullamH5725, while the troopH2422 of the PhilistinesH6430 was campingH2583 in 2the valleyH6010 of RephaimH7497. 14DavidH1732 was thenH227 3in the strongholdH4686, while the garrisonH4673 of the PhilistinesH6430 was thenH227 in BethlehemH1035. 154DavidH1732 hadH183 a cravingH183 and saidH559, “OhH4310 that someoneH4310 would giveH8248 me waterH4325 to drinkH8248 from the wellH877 of BethlehemH1035 whichH834 is by the gateH8179!” 165So the threeH7969 mightyH1368 menH1368 brokeH1234 throughH1234 the campH4264 of the PhilistinesH6430, and drewH7579 waterH4325 from the wellH877 of BethlehemH1035 whichH834 was by the gateH8179, and tookH5375 it and broughtH935 it to DavidH1732. Nevertheless he wouldH14 not drinkH8354 it, but 6pouredH5258 it out to the LordH3068; 17and he saidH559, “Be it farH2486 from me, O LordH3068, that I should doH6213 thisH2088. 7Shall I drink the bloodH1818 of the menH376 who wentH1980 in jeopardy of their livesH5315?” Therefore he wouldH14 not drinkH8354 it. TheseH428 thingsH428 the threeH7969 mightyH1368 menH1368 didH6213.
