2 Samuel 13:24-30

24AbsalomH53 cameH935 to the kingH4428 and saidH559, “BeholdH2009 nowH4994, your servantH5650 has sheepshearersH1494; pleaseH4994 let the kingH4428 and his servantsH5650 goH1980 with your servantH5650.” 25But the kingH4428 saidH559 to AbsalomH53, “NoH408, my sonH1121, we should not allH3605 goH1980, for we will be burdensomeH3513 to you.” Although he 1urgedH6555 him, he wouldH14 not goH1980, but blessedH1288 him. 26Then 2AbsalomH53 saidH559, “If not, pleaseH4994 let my brotherH251 AmnonH550 goH1980 with us.” And the kingH4428 saidH559 to him, “WhyH4100 should he goH1980 with you?” 27But when AbsalomH53 3urgedH6555 him, he letH7971 AmnonH550 and allH3605 the king’sH4428 sonsH1121 goH7971 with him.

28AbsalomH53 commandedH6680 his servantsH5288, sayingH559, “SeeH7200 nowH4994, 4when Amnon’sH550 heartH3820 is merryH2895 with wineH3196, and when I sayH559 to you, ‘StrikeH5221 AmnonH550,’ then putH4191 him to deathH4191. Do not fearH3372; have not I myselfH595 commandedH6680 you? Be courageousH2388 and be 5valiantH1121H2428.” 29The servantsH5288 of AbsalomH53 didH6213 to AmnonH550 justH3512 as AbsalomH53 had commandedH6680. Then allH3605 the king’sH4428 sonsH1121 aroseH6965 and eachH376 mountedH7392 6his muleH6505 and fledH5127.

30Now it was while they were on the wayH1870 that the reportH8052 cameH935 to DavidH1732, sayingH559, “AbsalomH53 has struckH5221 downH5221 allH3605 the king’sH4428 sonsH1121, and not oneH259 of them is leftH3498.”
