55Because the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068hath spoiledשֹׁדֵ֤דsho.DedH7703Babylonבָּבֶ֔לba.VelH894,and destroyedוְאִבַּ֥דve.'i.BadH6out of her the greatגָּד֑וֹלga.DolH1419voiceק֣וֹלKolH6963;when her wavesגַלֵּיהֶם֙ga.lei.HemH1530do roarוְהָמ֤וּve.ha.MuH1993like greatרַבִּ֔יםra.BimH7227watersכְּמַ֣יִםke.Ma.yimH4325,a noiseשְׁא֖וֹןshe.'onH7588of their voiceקוֹלָֽם׃ko.LamH6963is utteredנִתַּ֥ןni.TanH5414:

56Because the spoilerשׁוֹדֵ֔דsho.DedH7703is comeבָ֨אva'H935upon her, evenupon Babylonבָּבֶל֙ba.VelH894,and her mighty menגִּבּוֹרֶ֔יהָgi.bo.Rei.haH1368are takenוְנִלְכְּדוּ֙ve.nil.ke.DuH3920,every one of their bowsקַשְּׁתוֹתָ֑םka.she.to.TamH7198is brokenחִתְּתָ֖הchi.te.TahH2865:for the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068Godאֵ֧ל'elH410of recompencesגְּמֻל֛וֹתge.mu.LotH1578shall surelyשַׁלֵּ֥םsha.LemH7999requiteיְשַׁלֵּֽם׃ye.sha.LemH7999.

57And I will make drunkוְ֠הִשְׁכַּרְתִּיVe.hish.kar.tiH7937her princesשָׂרֶ֨יהָsa.Rei.haH8269,and her wiseוַחֲכָמֶ֜יהָva.cha.kha.Mei.haH2450men,her captainsפַּחוֹתֶ֤יהָpa.cho.Tei.haH6346,and her rulersוּסְגָנֶ֙יהָ֙u.se.ga.Nei.haH5461,and her mighty menוְגִבּוֹרֶ֔יהָve.gi.bo.Rei.haH1368:and they shall sleepוְיָשְׁנ֥וּve.ya.she.NuH3462a perpetualעוֹלָ֖םo.LamH5769sleepשְׁנַת־she.nat-H8142,and not wakeיָקִ֑יצוּya.Ki.tzuH6974,saithנְאֻ֨ם־ne.'Um-H5002the Kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,whose nameשְׁמֽוֹ׃ סshe.MoH8034isthe Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of hostsצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635.
