Genesis 43:25-32

25And they made readyוַיָּכִ֙ינוּ֙vai.ya.Khi.nuH3559the presentהַמִּנְחָ֔הha.min.ChahH4503againstעַד־'ad-H5704Josephיוֹסֵ֖ףyo.SefH3130cameבּ֥וֹאBo'H935at noonבַּֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִםba.tzo.ho.Ra.yimH6672:for they heardשָֽׁמְע֔וּsha.me.'UH8085that they should eatיֹ֥אכְלוּYo.khe.luH398breadלָֽחֶם׃La.chemH3899there.

26And when Josephיוֹסֵף֙yo.SefH3130cameוַיָּבֹ֤אvai.ya.Vo'H935homeהַבַּ֔יְתָהha.Bay.tahH1004,they broughtוַיָּבִ֥יאּוּvai.ya.Vi'.'uH935him the presentהַמִּנְחָ֥הha.min.ChahH4503which wasin their handבְּיָדָ֖םbe.ya.DamH3027into the houseהַבָּ֑יְתָהha.Ba.ye.tahH1004,and bowedוַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ־vai.yish.ta.cha.vu-H7812themselves to him to the earthאָֽרְצָה׃'A.re.tzahH776.

27And he askedוַיִּשְׁאַ֤לvai.yish.'AlH7592them of theirwelfareלְשָׁל֔וֹםle.sha.LomH7965,and saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Isyour fatherאֲבִיכֶ֥ם'a.vi.KhemH1wellהֲשָׁל֛וֹםha.sha.LomH7965,the old manהַזָּקֵ֖ןha.za.KenH2205of whom ye spakeאֲמַרְתֶּ֑ם'a.mar.TemH559? Ishe yet aliveחָֽי׃ChaiH2416?

28And they answeredוַיֹּאמְר֗וּvai.yo.me.RuH559,Thy servantלְעַבְדְּךָ֥le.'av.de.KhaH5650our fatherלְאָבִ֖ינוּle.'a.Vi.nuH1isin good healthשָׁל֛וֹםsha.LomH7965, he isyet aliveחָ֑יChaiH2416.And they bowed down their headsוַֽיִּקְּד֖וּvai.yi.ke.DuH6915,and made obeisanceוַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוּֽוּ׃vai.yish.ta.chuH7812.

29And he lifted upוַיִּשָּׂ֣אvai.yi.Sa'H5375his eyesעֵינָ֗יו'ei.NavH5869,and sawוַיַּ֞רְאvai.Yar'H7200his brotherאָחִיו֮'a.ChivH251Benjaminבִּנְיָמִ֣יןbin.ya.MinH1144,his mother’sאִמּוֹ֒'i.MoH517sonבֶּן־ben-H1121,and saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Isthis your youngerהַקָּטֹ֔ןha.ka.TonH6996brotherאֲחִיכֶ֣ם'a.chi.KhemH251,of whom ye spakeאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם'a.mar.TemH559unto me? And he saidוַיֹּאמַ֕רvai.yo.MarH559,Godאֱלֹהִ֥ים'E.lo.HimH430be graciousיָחְנְךָ֖ya.che.ne.KhaH2603unto thee, my sonבְּנִֽי׃be.NiH1121.

30And Josephיוֹסֵ֗ףyo.SefH3130made hasteוַיְמַהֵ֣רvay.ma.HerH4116;for his bowelsרַחֲמָיו֙ra.cha.MavH7356did yearnנִכְמְר֤וּnikh.me.RuH3648upon his brotherאָחִ֔יו'a.ChivH251:and he soughtוַיְבַקֵּ֖שׁvay.va.KeshH1245whereto weepלִבְכּ֑וֹתliv.KotH1058;and he enteredוַיָּבֹ֥אvai.ya.Vo'H935into hischamberהַחַ֖דְרָהha.Chad.rahH2315,and weptוַיֵּ֥בְךְּvai.Ye.vekH1058there.

31And he washedוַיִּרְחַ֥ץvai.yir.ChatzH7364his faceפָּנָ֖יוpa.NavH6440,and went outוַיֵּצֵ֑אvai.ye.Tze'H3318,and refrainedוַיִּ֨תְאַפַּ֔קvai.Yit.'a.PakH662himself, and saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Set onשִׂ֥ימוּSi.muH7760breadלָֽחֶם׃La.chemH3899.

32And they set onוַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּvai.ya.Si.muH7760for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the EgyptiansH4713,which did eatהָאֹכְלִ֤יםha.'o.khe.LimH398with him, by themselves: because the EgyptiansH4713mightיוּכְל֜וּןyu.khe.LunH3201not eatלֶאֱכֹ֤לle.'e.KholH398breadלֶ֔חֶםLe.chemH3899with the Hebrewsהָֽעִבְרִים֙ha.'iv.RimH5680; for that isan abominationתוֹעֵבָ֥הto.'e.VahH8441unto the EgyptiansH4714.
