Genesis 40:8-23

8And they saidוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559unto him, We have dreamedחָלַ֔מְנוּcha.Lam.nuH2492a dreamחֲל֣וֹםcha.LomH2472, and there isno interpreterוּפֹתֵ֖רu.fo.TerH6622of it. And Josephיוֹסֵ֗ףyo.SefH3130saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, Donot interpretationsפִּתְרֹנִ֔יםpit.ro.NimH6623belongto Godלֵֽאלֹהִים֙le.lo.HimH430?tell meסַפְּרוּ־sa.pe.ru-H5608them, I pray you.

9And the chiefשַֽׂר־sar-H8269butlerH8248toldוַיְסַפֵּ֧רvay.sa.PerH5608his dreamחֲלֹמ֖וֹcha.lo.MoH2472to Josephלְיוֹסֵ֑ףle.yo.SefH3130,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, In my dreamבַּחֲלוֹמִ֕יba.cha.lo.MiH2472,behold, a vineגֶ֖פֶןGe.fenH1612wasbefore meלְפָנָֽי׃le.fa.NaiH6440;

10And in the vineוּבַגֶּ֖פֶןu.va.Ge.fenH1612werethreeשְׁלֹשָׁ֣הshe.lo.ShahH7969branchesשָׂרִיגִ֑םsa.ri.GimH8299: and it wasas though it buddedכְפֹרַ֙חַת֙khe.fo.Ra.chatH6524, andher blossomsנִצָּ֔הּni.TzahH5322shot forthעָלְתָ֣ה'al.TahH5927;and the clustersאַשְׁכְּלֹתֶ֖יהָ'ash.ke.lo.Tei.haH811thereof brought forth ripeהִבְשִׁ֥ילוּhiv.Shi.luH1310grapesעֲנָבִֽים׃'a.na.VimH6025:

11And Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֖הpar.'OhH6547cupוְכ֥וֹסve.KhosH3563wasin my handבְּיָדִ֑יbe.ya.DiH3027:and I tookוָאֶקַּ֣חva.'e.KachH3947the grapesהָֽעֲנָבִ֗יםha.'a.na.VimH6025,and pressedוָֽאֶשְׂחַ֤טva.'es.ChatH7818them into Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547cupכּ֣וֹסKosH3563,and I gaveוָאֶתֵּ֥ןva.'e.TenH5414the cupהַכּ֖וֹסha.KosH3563into Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹֽה׃par.'OhH6547handכַּ֥ףkafH3709.

12And Josephיוֹסֵ֔ףyo.SefH3130saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, This isthe interpretationפִּתְרֹנ֑וֹpit.ro.NoH6623of it: The threeשְׁלֹ֙שֶׁת֙she.Lo.shetH7969branchesהַשָּׂ֣רִגִ֔יםha.Sa.ri.GimH8299arethreeשְׁלֹ֥שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969daysיָמִ֖יםya.MimH3117:

13Yetבְּע֣וֹד׀be.'odH5750within threeשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969daysיָמִ֗יםya.MimH3117shall Pharaohפַרְעֹה֙far.'OhH6547lift upיִשָּׂ֤אyi.Sa'H5375thine headרֹאשֶׁ֔ךָro.She.khaH7218,and restoreוַהֲשִֽׁיבְךָ֖va.ha.shi.ve.KhaH7725thee unto thy placeכַּנֶּ֑ךָka.Ne.khaH3653:and thou shalt deliverוְנָתַתָּ֤ve.na.ta.TaH5414Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹה֙par.'OhH6547cupכוֹס־khos-H3563into his handבְּיָד֔וֹbe.ya.DoH3027,after the formerהָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹןha.ri.ShonH7223mannerכַּמִּשְׁפָּט֙ka.mish.PatH4941when thou wast his butlerH8248.

14But thinkזְכַרְתַּ֣נִיze.khar.Ta.niH2142on me when it shall be wellיִ֣יטַבYi.tavH3190with thee, and shewוְעָשִֽׂיתָ־ve.'a.si.ta-H6213kindnessחָ֑סֶדCha.sedH2617,I pray thee, unto me, and make mentionוְהִזְכַּרְתַּ֙נִי֙ve.hiz.kar.Ta.niH2142of me unto Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547,and bring meוְהוֹצֵאתַ֖נִיve.ho.tze.Ta.niH3318out of this houseהַבַּ֥יִתha.Ba.yitH1004:

15For indeed I was stolen awayH1589out of the landמֵאֶ֖רֶץme.'E.retzH776of the Hebrewsהָעִבְרִ֑יםha.'iv.RimH5680:and here also have I doneעָשִׂ֣יתִֽי'a.Si.tiH6213nothingמְא֔וּמָהme.'U.mahH3972that they should putשָׂמ֥וּsa.MuH7760me into the dungeonבַּבּֽוֹר׃ba.BorH953.

16When the chiefשַׂר־sar-H8269bakerהָאֹפִ֖יםha.'o.FimH644sawוַיַּ֥רְאvai.Yar'H7200that the interpretationפָּתָ֑רpa.TarH6622was goodט֣וֹבTovH2896,he saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559unto Josephיוֹסֵ֔ףyo.SefH3130,I alsoאַף־'af-H637wasin my dreamבַּחֲלוֹמִ֔יba.cha.lo.MiH2472, and, behold, I hadthreeשְׁלֹשָׁ֛הshe.lo.ShahH7969whiteחֹרִ֖יcho.RiH2751basketsסַלֵּ֥יsa.LeiH5536on my headרֹאשִֽׁי׃ro.ShiH7218:

17And in the uppermostהָֽעֶלְי֔וֹןha.'el.yOnH5945basketוּבַסַּ֣לu.va.SalH5536there wasof all mannerמַאֲכַ֥לma.'a.KhalH3978of bakemeatsמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה אֹפֶ֑הma.'a.Seh 'o.PehH644 H4639for Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֖הpar.'OhH6547;and the birdsוְהָע֗וֹףve.ha.'ofH5775did eatאֹכֵ֥ל'o.KhelH398them out of the basketהַסַּ֖לha.SalH5536uponמֵעַ֥לme.'AlH5921my headרֹאשִֽׁי׃ro.ShiH7218.

18And Josephיוֹסֵף֙yo.SefH3130answeredוַיַּ֤עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030and saidוַיֹּ֔אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, This isthe interpretationפִּתְרֹנ֑וֹpit.ro.NoH6623thereof: The threeשְׁלֹ֙שֶׁת֙she.Lo.shetH7969basketsהַסַּלִּ֔יםha.sa.LimH5536arethreeשְׁלֹ֥שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969daysיָמִ֖יםya.MimH3117:

19Yet within threeשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969daysיָמִ֗יםya.MimH3117shall Pharaohפַרְעֹ֤הfar.'OhH6547lift upיִשָּׂ֨אyi.Sa'H5375thy headרֹֽאשְׁךָ֙ro.she.KhaH7218from off thee, and shall hangוְתָלָ֥הve.ta.LahH8518thee on a treeעֵ֑ץ'EtzH6086;and the birdsהָע֛וֹףha.'ofH5775shall eatוְאָכַ֥לve.'a.KhalH398thy fleshבְּשָׂרְךָ֖be.sa.re.KhaH1320from off thee.

20And it came to pass the thirdהַשְּׁלִישִׁ֗יha.she.li.ShiH7992dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117, which wasPharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547birthdayי֚וֹם הֻלֶּ֣דֶתYom hu.Le.detH3205 H3117,that he madeוַיַּ֥עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213a feastמִשְׁתֶּ֖הmish.TehH4960unto all his servantsעֲבָדָ֑יו'a.va.DavH5650:and he lifted upוַיִּשָּׂ֞אvai.yi.Sa'H5375the headH7218of the chiefשַׂ֣רsarH8269butlerH8248and of the chiefשַׂ֥רsarH8269bakerהָאֹפִ֖יםha.'o.FimH644amongבְּת֥וֹךְbe.TokhH8432his servantsעֲבָדָֽיו׃'a.va.DavH5650.

21And he restoredH7725the chiefשַׂ֥רsarH8269butlerH8248unto his butlershipH4945againH7725;and he gaveוַיִּתֵּ֥ןvai.yi.TenH5414the cupהַכּ֖וֹסha.KosH3563into Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹֽה׃par.'OhH6547handכַּ֥ףkafH3709:

22But he hangedתָּלָ֑הta.LahH8518the chiefשַׂ֥רsarH8269bakerהָאֹפִ֖יםha.'o.FimH644:as Josephיוֹסֵֽף׃yo.SefH3130had interpretedפָּתַ֛רpa.TarH6622to them.

23Yet did not the chiefשַֽׂר־sar-H8269butlerH8248rememberזָכַ֧רza.KharH2142Josephיוֹסֵ֖ףyo.SefH3130,but forgatוַיִּשְׁכָּחֵֽהוּ׃ פvai.yish.ka.Che.huH7911him.
