13And there cameוַיָּבֹא֙vai.ya.Vo'H935one that had escapedהַפָּלִ֔יטha.pa.LitH6412,and toldוַיַּגֵּ֖דvai.ya.GedH5046Abramלְאַבְרָ֣םle.'av.RamH87the Hebrewהָעִבְרִ֑יha.'iv.RiH5680;for he dweltשֹׁכֵ֨ןsho.KhenH7931in the plainבְּאֵֽלֹנֵ֜יbe.'e.lo.NeiH436of Mamreמַמְרֵ֣אmam.Re'H4471the Amoriteהָאֱמֹרִ֗יha.'e.mo.RiH567,brotherאֲחִ֤י'a.ChiH251of Eshcolאֶשְׁכֹּל֙'esh.KolH812,and brotherוַאֲחִ֣יva.'a.ChiH251of Anerעָנֵ֔ר'a.NerH6063: and these wereconfederateבַּעֲלֵ֥י בְרִית־ba.'a.Lei ve.rit-H1285 H1167with Abramאַבְרָֽם׃'av.RamH87.

14And when Abramאַבְרָ֔ם'av.RamH87heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֣עvai.yish.Ma'H8085that his brotherאָחִ֑יו'a.ChivH251was taken captiveנִשְׁבָּ֖הnish.BahH7617,he armedוַיָּ֨רֶקvai.Ya.rekH7324his trainedחֲנִיכָ֜יוcha.ni.KhavH2593servants,bornיְלִידֵ֣יye.li.DeiH3211in his own houseבֵית֗וֹvei.ToH1004,threeוּשְׁלֹ֣שׁu.she.LoshH7969hundredמֵא֔וֹתme.'otH3967and eighteenשְׁמֹנָ֤ה עָשָׂר֙she.mo.Nah 'a.SarH8083 H6240,and pursuedוַיִּרְדֹּ֖ףvai.yir.DofH7291themunto Danדָּֽן׃DanH1835.

15And he dividedוַיֵּחָלֵ֨קvai.ye.cha.LekH2505himself against them, he and his servantsוַעֲבָדָ֖יוva.'a.va.DavH5650,by nightלַ֛יְלָהLay.lahH3915,and smoteוַיַּכֵּ֑םvai.ya.KemH5221them, and pursuedוַֽיִּרְדְּפֵם֙vai.yir.de.FemH7291them unto Hobahחוֹבָ֔הcho.VahH2327, which ison the left handמִשְּׂמֹ֖אלmi.se.MolH8040of Damascusלְדַמָּֽשֶׂק׃le.da.Ma.sekH1834.

16And he brought backוַיָּ֕שֶׁבvai.Ya.shevH7725all the goodsהָרְכֻ֑שׁha.re.KhushH7399,and also brought againהֵשִׁ֔יבhe.ShivH7725his brotherאָחִ֤יו'a.ChivH251Lotל֨וֹטLotH3876,and his goodsוּרְכֻשׁוֹ֙u.re.khu.ShoH7399,and the womenהַנָּשִׁ֖יםha.na.ShimH802also, and the peopleהָעָֽם׃ha.'AmH5971.

17And the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Sodomסְדֹם֮se.DomH5467went outוַיֵּצֵ֣אvai.ye.Tze'H3318to meetH7125him afterאַחֲרֵ֣י'a.cha.ReiH310his returnשׁוּב֗וֹshu.VoH7725from the slaughterמֵֽהַכּוֹת֙me.ha.kOtH5221of Chedorlaomerכְּדָרְ־לָעֹ֔מֶרKedor-la.'ֹo.merH3540,and of the kingsהַמְּלָכִ֖יםha.me.la.KhimH4428that werewith him, at the valleyעֵ֣מֶק'E.mekH6010of Shavehשָׁוֵ֔הsha.VehH7740,whichה֖וּאhu'H1931isthe king’sהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428daleעֵ֥מֶק'E.mekH6010.

18And MelchizedekH4442kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Salemשָׁלֵ֔םsha.LemH8004brought forthהוֹצִ֖יאho.Tzi'H3318breadלֶ֣חֶםLe.chemH3899and wineוָיָ֑יִןva.Ya.yinH3196: and he wasthe priestכֹהֵ֖ןkho.HenH3548of the most highעֶלְיֽוֹן׃el.YonH5945Godלְאֵ֥לle.'ElH410.

19And he blessedוַֽיְבָרְכֵ֖הוּvay.va.re.Khe.huH1288him, and saidוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559,Blessedבָּר֤וּךְba.RukhH1288beAbramאַבְרָם֙'av.RamH87of the most highעֶלְי֔וֹןel.YonH5945Godלְאֵ֣לle.'ElH410,possessorקֹנֵ֖הko.NehH7069of heavenשָׁמַ֥יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064and earthוָאָֽרֶץ׃va.'A.retzH776:

20And blessedוּבָרוּךְ֙u.va.ruKhH1288be the most highעֶלְי֔וֹןel.YonH5945Godאֵ֣ל'elH410,which hath deliveredמִגֵּ֥ןmi.GenH4042thine enemiesצָרֶ֖יךָtza.Rei.khaH6862into thy handבְּיָדֶ֑ךָbe.ya.De.khaH3027.And he gaveוַיִּתֶּן־vai.yi.ten-H5414him tithesמַעֲשֵׂ֖רma.'a.SerH4643of all.

21And the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Sodomסְדֹ֖םse.DomH5467saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Abramאַבְרָ֑ם'av.RamH87,Giveתֶּן־ten-H5414me the personsהַנֶּ֔פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315,and takeקַֽח־kach-H3947the goodsוְהָרְכֻ֖שׁve.ha.re.KhushH7399to thyself.

22And Abramאַבְרָ֖ם'av.RamH87saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Sodomסְדֹ֑םse.DomH5467,I have lift upהֲרִימֹ֨תִיha.ri.Mo.tiH7311mine handיָדִ֤יya.DiH3027unto the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the most highעֶלְי֔וֹןel.YonH5945Godאֵ֣ל'elH410,the possessorקֹנֵ֖הko.NehH7069of heavenשָׁמַ֥יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064and earthוָאָֽרֶץ׃va.'A.retzH776,
