47Because thou servedstעָבַ֙דְתָּ֙'a.Vad.taH5647not the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430with joyfulnessבְּשִׂמְחָ֖הbe.sim.ChahH8057,and with gladnessוּבְט֣וּבu.ve.TuvH2898of heartלֵבָ֑בle.VavH3824,for the abundanceמֵרֹ֖בme.RoH7230of all things;

48Therefore shalt thou serveוְעָבַדְתָּ֣ve.'a.vad.TaH5647thine enemiesאֹיְבֶ֗יךָ'o.ye.Vei.khaH341which the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068shall sendיְשַׁלְּחֶ֤נּוּye.shal.le.Che.nuH7971against thee, in hungerבְּרָעָ֧בbe.ra.'AvH7458,and in thirstוּבְצָמָ֛אu.ve.tza.Ma'H6772,and in nakednessוּבְעֵירֹ֖םu.ve.'ei.RomH5903,and in wantוּבְחֹ֣סֶרu.ve.Cho.serH2640of all things:and he shall putוְנָתַ֞ןve.na.TanH5414a yokeעֹ֤ל'olH5923of ironבַּרְזֶל֙bar.ZelH1270upon thy neckצַוָּארֶ֔ךָtza.va.Re.khaH6677,until he have destroyedהִשְׁמִיד֖וֹhish.mi.DoH8045thee.

49The Lordיְהוָה֩Yah.wehH3068shall bringיִשָּׂ֣אyi.Sa'H5375a nationגּ֤וֹיGoyH1471against thee from farמֵרָחוֹק֙me.ra.chOkH7350,from the endמִקְצֵ֣הmik.TzehH7097of the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776, as swiftas the eagleהַנָּ֑שֶׁרha.Na.sherH5404fliethיִדְאֶ֖הyid.'EhH1675;a nationגּ֕וֹיGoyH1471whose tongueלְשֹׁנֽוֹ׃le.sho.NoH3956thou shalt not understandתִשְׁמַ֖עtish.Ma'H8085;

50A nationגּ֖וֹיGoyH1471of fierceעַ֣ז'azH5794countenanceפָּנִ֑יםpa.NimH6440,which shall not regardיִשָּׂ֤אyi.Sa'H5375the personפָנִים֙fa.NimH6440of the oldלְזָקֵ֔ןle.za.KenH2205,nor shew favourיָחֹֽן׃ya.ChonH2603to the youngוְנַ֖עַרve.Na.'arH5288:
