Joshua 7:7-12

7“OH162, LordH136 GODH3069,” JoshuaH3091 saidH559, “whyH4100 did You ever bringH5674 thisH2088 peopleH5971 across the JordanH3383 to deliverH5414 usH853 into the handH3027 of the AmoritesH567 to be destroyedH6? If onlyH3863 we had been contentH2974 to stayH3427 on the other sideH5676 of the JordanH3383! 8OH994 LordH136, whatH4100 can I sayH559, now thatH310 IsraelH3478 has turnedH2015 its backH6203 and run fromH6440 its enemiesH341? 9When the CanaanitesH3669 and allH3605 who liveH3427 in the landH776 hear about thisH8085, they will surroundH5437 usH5921 and wipe outH3772 our nameH8034 fromH4480 the earthH776. Then whatH4100 will You doH6213 for Your greatH1419 nameH8034?”

10But the LORDH3068 saidH559 toH413 JoshuaH3091, “Stand upH6965! WhyH4100H2088 have youH859 fallenH5307 onH5921 your faceH6440? 11IsraelH3478 has sinnedH2398; they have transgressedH5674 My covenantH1285 thatH834 I commandedH6680 themH853, and theyH1571 have takenH3947 some ofH4480 what was devoted to destructionH2764. IndeedH1571, they have stolenH1589 andH1571 liedH3584, andH1571 they have putH7760 these things with their own possessionsH3627. 12This is why the IsraelitesH1121H3478 cannotH3808H3201 standH6965 againstH6440 their enemiesH341. They will turnH6437 their backsH6203 and run fromH6440 their enemiesH341, becauseH3588 they themselves have beenH1961 set apart for destructionH2764. I will noH3808 longerH3254 beH1961 withH5973 you unlessH518H3808 you removeH8045 from among youH7130 whatever is devoted to destructionH2764.
