Joshua 6:17-25
Now the cityH5892 and everythingH3605 in it must beH1961 devotedH2764 to the LORD for destructionH3068H1931.1 OnlyH7535 RahabH7343 the prostituteH2181 and all thoseH3605 with herH854 in her houseH1004 will liveH2421H1931, becauseH3588 she hidH2244 the spiesH4397 we sentH7971. 18ButH7535H859 keep awayH8104 fromH4480 the things devoted to destructionH2764, lestH6435 you yourself be set apart for destructionH2763. If you takeH3947 any ofH4480 these, you will setH7760 apart the campH4264 of IsraelH3478 for destructionH2764 and bring disaster upon itH5916. 19For allH3605 the silverH3701 and goldH2091 and all the articlesH3627 of bronzeH5178 and ironH1270 are holyH6944H1931 to the LORDH3068; they must go intoH935 His treasuryH214.”
So when the rams’ hornsH7782H1961 soundedH8628, the peopleH5971 shoutedH7321. When theyH5971 heardH8085 the blastH6963 of the hornH7782, the peopleH5971 gave a greatH1419 shoutH7321H8643, and the wallH2346 collapsedH5307H8478. Then all the peopleH5971H376 chargedH5927 straightH5048 into the cityH5892 and capturedH3920 it. 21With the edgeH6310 of the swordH2719 they devoted to destructionH2763 everythingH3605 in the cityH5892—manH376 and womanH802, youngH5288 andH5704 oldH2205H5704, oxenH7794, sheepH7716, and donkeysH2543.
Meanwhile, JoshuaH3091 toldH559 the twoH8147 menH582 who had spied outH7270 the landH776, “Go intoH935 the houseH1004 of the prostituteH2181 and bring outH3318 the womanH802 and allH3605 who areH834 with her, just asH834 you promisedH7650 her.” 23So the youngH5288 spiesH7270 went inH935 and brought outH3318 RahabH7343, her fatherH1 andH853 motherH517 andH853 brothersH251, and allH3605 who belongedH834 to her. They brought outH3318 her wholeH3605 familyH4940 and settled themH5117 outsideH2351 the campH4264 of IsraelH3478.
Then the Israelites burned upH8313H784 the cityH5892 and everythingH3605 in it. HoweverH7535, they putH5414 the silverH3701 and goldH2091 and articlesH3627 of bronzeH5178 and ironH1270 into the treasuryH214 of the LORD’sH3068 houseH1004. 25AndH853 JoshuaH3091 sparedH2421 RahabH7343 the prostituteH2181, withH853 her father’sH1 householdH1004 and allH3605 who belongedH834 to her, becauseH3588 she hidH2244 the menH4397 JoshuaH3091 had sentH7971 to spy outH7270 JerichoH3405. So she has livedH3427 amongH7130 the IsraelitesH3478 toH5704 thisH2088 dayH3117.
