Joshua 11:16-23
So JoshuaH3091 tookH3947 thisH2063 entireH3605 regionH776: the hill countryH2022, allH3605 the NegevH5045, allH3605 the landH776 of GoshenH1657, the western foothillsH8219, the ArabahH6160, and the mountainsH2022 of IsraelH3478 and their foothillsH8219, 17fromH4480 MountH2022 HalakH2510, which risesH5927 toward SeirH8165, as far asH5704 Baal-gadH1171 in the ValleyH1237 of LebanonH3844 at the foot ofH8478 MountH2022 HermonH2768. He capturedH3920 allH3605 their kingsH4428 and struck them downH5221, putting them to deathH4191.
JoshuaH3091H854 wagedH6213 warH4421 against allH3605 theseH428 kingsH4428 for a long periodH7227 of timeH3117. 19NoH3808H1961 cityH5892 made peaceH7999 withH413 the IsraelitesH1121H3478 exceptH1115 the HivitesH2340 livingH3427 in GibeonH1391; allH3605 others were takenH3947 in battleH4421. 20ForH3588 it wasH1961 ofH854 the LORDH3068 to hardenH23881 their heartsH3820 to engageH7122 IsraelH3478H4616 in battleH4421H854, so that they would be set apart for destructionH2763 and would receiveH1961 noH1115 mercyH8467, being annihilatedH8045 asH834 the LORDH3068 had commandedH6680 MosesH4872.
At thatH1931 timeH6256 JoshuaH3091 proceededH935 to eliminateH3772 the AnakimH6062 fromH4480 the hill countryH2022H4480 of HebronH2275H4480, DebirH1688H4480, and AnabH6024, and from allH3605 the hill countryH2022 of JudahH3063H3605H2022 and of IsraelH3478. JoshuaH3091 devoted them to destructionH2763, along withH5973 their citiesH5892. 22NoH3808 AnakimH6062 were leftH3498 in the landH776 of the IsraelitesH1121H3478; onlyH7535 in GazaH5804, GathH1661, and AshdodH795 did any surviveH7604.
So JoshuaH3091 tookH3947 the entireH3605 landH776, in keeping with allH3605 thatH834 the LORDH3068H413 had spokenH1696 to MosesH4872. And JoshuaH3091 gaveH5414 it as an inheritanceH5159 to IsraelH3478 according to the allotmentsH4256 to their tribesH7626. Then the landH776 had restH8252 from warH4421.
