Samuel 13:30-35
While theyH1992 wereH1961 on the wayH1870, a reportH8052 reachedH935H413 DavidH1732H559: “AbsalomH53 has struck downH5221 allH3605 the sonsH1121 of the kingH4428; notH3808 oneH259 of them is leftH3498!”
Then the kingH4428 stood upH6965, toreH7167 his clothesH899, and lay downH7901 on the groundH776. And allH3605 his servantsH5650 stoodH5324 by with their clothesH899 tornH7167.
But JonadabH3122, the sonH1121 of David’sH1732 brotherH251 ShimeahH8093, spoke upH6030: “My lordH113 must notH408H559 thinkH559 they have killedH4191 allH3605 the sonsH1121 of the kingH4428, forH3588 onlyH905 AmnonH550 is deadH4191. In factH3588, AbsalomH53 has planned thisH7760 since the dayH3117 Amnon violatedH6031 his sisterH269 TamarH8559. 33So nowH6258, my lordH113 the kingH4428, do notH408 takeH7760 toH413 heartH3820 the report thatH1697H559 allH3605 the sonsH1121 of the kingH4428 are deadH4191H3588H518. OnlyH905 AmnonH550 is deadH4191.”
Meanwhile, AbsalomH53 had fledH1272. When the young manH5288 standing watchH6822 looked upH5375H5869, he sawH7200 manyH7227 peopleH5971 comingH1980 down the roadH1870 west of himH310,1 along the sideH6654 of the hill. And the watchman went and reported to the king, “I see men coming from the direction of Horonaim, along the side of the hillH2022.”2
So JonadabH3122 saidH559 toH413 the kingH4428, “LookH2009, the sonsH1121 of the kingH4428 have arrivedH935! It is just asH3651 your servantH5650H1961 saidH1697.”
