Kings 15:25-37
Then his officerH7991, PekahH6492 sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425, conspiredH7194 against himH5921 along withH854 ArgobH709H854, AriehH745, andH5973 fiftyH2572 menH376 ofH1121 GileadH1569. And at the citadelH759 of the king’sH4428 palaceH1004 in SamariaH8111, Pekah struck downH5221 and killedH4191 Pekahiah and reignedH4427 in his placeH8478.
As for the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of PekahiahH6494, along with allH3605 his accomplishmentsH834H6213, they are indeedH2009 writtenH3789 inH5921 the BookH5612 of the ChroniclesH1697H3117 of the KingsH4428 of IsraelH3478.
In the fifty-secondH2572H8147 yearH8141 of Azariah’sH5838 reignH4428 over JudahH3063, PekahH6492 sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425 became kingH4427 ofH5921 IsraelH3478, and he reigned in SamariaH8111 twentyH6242 yearsH8141. 28And he didH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068 and did notH3808 turn awayH5493 fromH4480 the sins thatH2403 JeroboamH3379 sonH1121 of NebatH5028 had caused IsraelH3478 to commitH2398.
In the daysH3117 of PekahH6492 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, Tiglath-pileserH8407 kingH4428 of AssyriaH804 cameH935 and capturedH3947 IjonH5859, Abel-beth-maacahH59H1038, JanoahH3239, KedeshH6943, HazorH2674, GileadH1568, and GalileeH1551, including allH3605 the landH776 of NaphtaliH5321, and he took the people as captivesH1540 to AssyriaH804.
Then HosheaH1954 sonH1121 of ElahH425 ledH7194 a conspiracyH7195 againstH5921 PekahH6492 sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425. In the twentiethH6242 yearH8141 of JothamH3147 sonH1121 of UzziahH5818, Hoshea attackedH5221 Pekah, killed himH4191, and reignedH4427 in his placeH8478.
As for the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of PekahH6492, along with allH3605 his accomplishmentsH834H6213, they are indeedH2009 writtenH3789 inH5921 the BookH5612 of the ChroniclesH1697H3117 of the KingsH4428 of IsraelH3478.
In the secondH8147 yearH8141 of the reignH4428 of PekahH6492 sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425 over IsraelH3478, JothamH3147 sonH1121 of UzziahH5818 became kingH4427H4428 of JudahH3063. 33He wasH1961 twenty-fiveH6242H2568 years oldH1121H8141 when he became kingH4427, and he reignedH4427 in JerusalemH3389 sixteenH8337H6240 yearsH8141. His mother’sH517 nameH8034 was JerushaH33881 daughterH1323 of ZadokH6659. 34And he didH6213 what was rightH3477 in the eyesH5869 of the LORDH3068, just asH3605 his fatherH1H6213 UzziahH5818 had doneH6213.
NeverthelessH7535, the high placesH1116 were notH3808 taken awayH5493; the peopleH5971 continuedH5750 sacrificingH2076 and burning incenseH6999 there.
JothamH1931 rebuiltH1129 the UpperH5945 GateH8179 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068.
As for the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JothamH3147, along with his accomplishmentsH834H6213, are theyH1992 notH3808 writtenH3789 inH5921 the BookH5612 of the ChroniclesH1697H3117 of the KingsH4428 of JudahH3063?
(In thoseH1992 daysH3117 the LORDH3068 beganH2490 to sendH7971 RezinH7526 kingH4428 of AramH758 and PekahH6492 sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425 against JudahH3063.)
