Kings 15:10-31
Then ShallumH7967 sonH1121 of JabeshH3003 conspiredH7194 against ZechariahH5921, struck him downH5221 and killed himH4191 in front ofH6905 the peopleH5971,1 and reignedH4427 in his placeH8478.
As for the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of ZechariahH2148, they are indeedH2009 writtenH3789 inH5921 the BookH5612 of the ChroniclesH1697H3117 of the KingsH4428 of IsraelH3478. 12So the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 spokenH1696 toH413 JehuH3058H559 was fulfilledH1961: “Four generationsH7243 of your sonsH1121 will sitH3427 onH5921 the throneH3678 of IsraelH3478.”
In the thirty-ninthH7970H8672H8141 yearH8141 of Uzziah’sH58182 reignH4428 over JudahH3063, ShallumH7967 sonH1121 of JabeshH3003 became kingH4427, and he reignedH4427 in SamariaH8111 one full monthH3391H3117.
Then MenahemH4505 sonH1121 of GadiH1424 went upH5927 from TirzahH8656H935 to SamariaH8111, struck downH5221 and killedH4191 ShallumH7967 sonH1121 of JabeshH3003, and reignedH4427 in his placeH8478.
As for the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of ShallumH7967, along with the conspiracyH7195 he ledH7194, they are indeedH2009 writtenH3789 inH5921 the BookH5612 of the ChroniclesH1697H3117 of the KingsH4428 of IsraelH3478.
At that timeH227 MenahemH4505, starting from TirzahH8656, attackedH5221 TiphsahH8607 andH853 everyoneH3605 in itsH834 vicinityH1366, becauseH3588 they would notH3808 openH6605 their gates. So he attackedH5221 Tiphsah and ripped openH1234 allH3605 the pregnant womenH2030.
In the thirty-ninthH7970H8672 yearH8141 of Azariah’sH5838 reignH4428 over JudahH3063, MenahemH4505 sonH1121 of GadiH1424 became kingH4427 ofH5921 IsraelH3478, and he reigned in SamariaH8111 tenH6235 yearsH8141. 18And he didH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, and throughoutH3605 his reignH3117 he did notH3808 turn awayH5493 fromH5921 the sins thatH2403 JeroboamH3379 sonH1121 of NebatH5028 had caused IsraelH3478 to commitH2398.
Then PulH63223 kingH4428 of AssyriaH804 invadedH935H5921 the landH776, and MenahemH4505 gaveH5414 PulH6322 a thousandH505 talentsH3603 of silverH37014 in order to gain his supportH1961H3027H854 and strengthenH2388 his own gripH3027 on the kingdomH4467. 20MenahemH4505 exactedH3318 this moneyH3701 fromH5921 eachH3605 of the wealthyH2428 menH1368 of IsraelH3478—fiftyH2572 shekelsH8255 of silverH37015 from eachH259 manH376—to giveH5414 to the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804. So the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804 withdrewH7725 and did notH3808 remainH5975H8033 in the landH776.
As for the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of MenahemH4505, along with allH3605 his accomplishmentsH834H6213H3808H1992, are they not writtenH3789 inH5921 the BookH5612 of the ChroniclesH1697H3117 of the KingsH4428 of IsraelH3478?
And MenahemH4505 restedH7901 withH5973 his fathersH1, and his sonH1121 PekahiahH6494 reignedH4427 in his placeH8478.
In the fiftiethH2572 yearH8141 of Azariah’sH5838 reignH4428 over JudahH3063, PekahiahH6494 sonH1121 of MenahemH4505 became kingH4427 ofH5921 IsraelH3478 and reigned in SamariaH8111 two yearsH8141. 24And he didH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068 and did notH3808 turn awayH5493 from the sins thatH2403 JeroboamH3379 sonH1121 of NebatH5028 had caused IsraelH3478 to commitH2398.
Then his officerH7991, PekahH6492 sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425, conspiredH7194 against himH5921 along withH854 ArgobH709H854, AriehH745, andH5973 fiftyH2572 menH376 ofH1121 GileadH1569. And at the citadelH759 of the king’sH4428 palaceH1004 in SamariaH8111, Pekah struck downH5221 and killedH4191 Pekahiah and reignedH4427 in his placeH8478.
As for the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of PekahiahH6494, along with allH3605 his accomplishmentsH834H6213, they are indeedH2009 writtenH3789 inH5921 the BookH5612 of the ChroniclesH1697H3117 of the KingsH4428 of IsraelH3478.
In the fifty-secondH2572H8147 yearH8141 of Azariah’sH5838 reignH4428 over JudahH3063, PekahH6492 sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425 became kingH4427 ofH5921 IsraelH3478, and he reigned in SamariaH8111 twentyH6242 yearsH8141. 28And he didH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068 and did notH3808 turn awayH5493 fromH4480 the sins thatH2403 JeroboamH3379 sonH1121 of NebatH5028 had caused IsraelH3478 to commitH2398.
In the daysH3117 of PekahH6492 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, Tiglath-pileserH8407 kingH4428 of AssyriaH804 cameH935 and capturedH3947 IjonH5859, Abel-beth-maacahH59H1038, JanoahH3239, KedeshH6943, HazorH2674, GileadH1568, and GalileeH1551, including allH3605 the landH776 of NaphtaliH5321, and he took the people as captivesH1540 to AssyriaH804.
Then HosheaH1954 sonH1121 of ElahH425 ledH7194 a conspiracyH7195 againstH5921 PekahH6492 sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425. In the twentiethH6242 yearH8141 of JothamH3147 sonH1121 of UzziahH5818, Hoshea attackedH5221 Pekah, killed himH4191, and reignedH4427 in his placeH8478.
As for the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of PekahH6492, along with allH3605 his accomplishmentsH834H6213, they are indeedH2009 writtenH3789 inH5921 the BookH5612 of the ChroniclesH1697H3117 of the KingsH4428 of IsraelH3478.
