1Then I saidוָאֹמַ֗רva.'o.MarH559: “Hearשִׁמְעוּ־shim.'u-H8085nowנָא֙na'H4994,O leadersרָאשֵׁ֣יra.SheiH7218of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290,you rulersוּקְצִינֵ֖יu.ke.tzi.NeiH7101of the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478.Should you notהֲל֣וֹאha.Lo'H3808knowלָדַ֖עַתla.Da.'atH3045אֶת־'et-H853justiceהַמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ha.mish.PatH4941?

2You hateשֹׂ֥נְאֵיSo.ne.'eiH8130goodט֖וֹבTovH2896and loveוְאֹ֣הֲבֵיve.'O.ha.veiH157evilרָ֑עra.'ahH7451.You tearגֹּזְלֵ֤יgo.ze.LeiH1497the skinעוֹרָם֙o.RamH5785from my peopleמֵֽעֲלֵיהֶ֔םme.'a.lei.HemH5921and strip the fleshוּשְׁאֵרָ֖םu.she.'e.RamH7607fromמֵעַ֥לme.'AlH5921their bonesעַצְמוֹתָֽם׃atz.mo.TamH6106.

3וַאֲשֶׁ֣רva.'a.SherH834You eatאָכְלוּ֮'a.khe.LuH398the fleshשְׁאֵ֣רshe.'ErH7607of my peopleעַמִּי֒'a.MiH5971after stripping offהִפְשִׁ֔יטוּhif.Shi.tuH6584וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853their skinוְעוֹרָם֙ מֵעֲלֵיהֶ֣םve.'o.Ram me.'a.lei.HemH5785 H5921and breakingפִּצֵּ֑חוּpi.Tze.chuH6476their bonesעַצְמֹֽתֵיהֶ֖ם'atz.mo.tei.HemH6106.You chop them upוּפָרְשׂוּ֙u.fa.re.SuH6566likeכַּאֲשֶׁ֣רka.'a.SherH834fleshfor the cooking potבַּסִּ֔ירba.SirH5518,like meatוּכְבָשָׂ֖רu.khe.va.SarH1320inבְּת֥וֹךְbe.TokhH8432a cauldronקַלָּֽחַת׃ka.La.chatH7037.”

4Thenאָ֚ז'azH227they will cry outיִזְעֲק֣וּyiz.'a.KuH2199toאֶל־'el-H413the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,but He will notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808answerיַעֲנֶ֖הya.'a.NehH6030themאוֹתָ֑ם'o.TamH853.At thatהַהִ֔יאha.Hi'H1931timeבָּעֵ֣תba.'EtH6256He will hideוְיַסְתֵּ֨רve.yas.TerH5641His faceפָּנָ֤יוpa.NavH6440from thembecause ofכַּאֲשֶׁ֥רka.'a.SherH834the evilהֵרֵ֖עוּhe.Re.'uH7489they have doneמַעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃ פma.'a.lei.HemH4611.

5This is whatכֹּ֚הkohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “As forעַל־'al-H5921the prophetsהַנְּבִיאִ֖יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030who lead My peopleעַמִּ֑י'a.MiH5971astrayהַמַּתְעִ֣יםha.mat.'ImH8582אֶת־'et-H853,who proclaimוְקָרְא֣וּve.ka.re.'UH7121peaceשָׁל֔וֹםsha.LomH7965וַאֲשֶׁר֙va.'a.SherH834while they chewהַנֹּשְׁכִ֤יםha.no.she.KhimH5391with their teethבְּשִׁנֵּיהֶם֙be.shi.nei.HemH8127,but declareוְקִדְּשׁ֥וּve.ki.de.ShuH6942warמִלְחָמָֽה׃mil.cha.MahH4421against oneעַל־'al-H5921who putsיִתֵּ֣ןyi.TenH5414nothingלֹא־lo'-H3808inעָלָ֖יו'a.LavH5921their mouthsפִּיהֶ֔םpi.HemH6310:

6Thereforeלָכֵ֞ןla.KhenH3651nightלַ֤יְלָהLay.lahH3915will come over youwithout visionsמֵֽחָז֔וֹןme.cha.ZonH2377,and darknessוְחָשְׁכָ֥הve.cha.she.KhahH2821without divinationמִקְּסֹ֑םmi.ke.SomH7080.The sunהַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ha.She.meshH8121will setוּבָ֤אָהu.Va.'ahH935onעַל־'al-H5921these prophetsהַנְּבִיאִ֔יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030,and the daylightהַיּֽוֹם׃hai.YomH3117will turn blackוְקָדַ֥רve.ka.DarH6937over themעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם'a.lei.HemH5921.

7Then the seersהַחֹזִ֗יםha.cho.ZimH2374will be ashamedוּבֹ֣שׁוּu.Vo.shuH954and the divinersהַקֹּ֣סְמִ֔יםha.Ko.se.MimH7080will be disgracedוְחָֽפְרוּ֙ve.cha.fe.RuH2659.They will allכֻּלָּ֑םku.LamH3605coverוְעָט֥וּ עַל־ve.'a.Tu 'al-H5844 H5921their mouthsשָׂפָ֖םsa.FamH8222becauseכִּ֛יkiH3588there isnoאֵ֥ין'einH369answerמַעֲנֵ֖הma.'a.NehH4617from Godאֱלֹהִֽים׃'E.lo.HimH430.”

8As for meאָנֹכִ֞י'a.no.KhiH595,howeverוְאוּלָ֗םve.'u.LamH199,I am filledמָלֵ֤אתִיma.Le.tiH4390with powerכֹ֙חַ֙kho.achH3581byאֶת־'et-H853the Spiritר֣וּחַRu.achH7307of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,with justiceוּמִשְׁפָּ֖טu.mish.PatH4941and courageוּגְבוּרָ֑הu.ge.vu.RahH1369,to declareלְהַגִּ֤ידle.ha.GidH5046to Jacobלְיַֽעֲקֹב֙le.ya.'a.KoH3290his transgressionפִּשְׁע֔וֹpish.'OH6588and to Israelוּלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לu.le.Yis.ra.'ElH3478his sinחַטָּאתֽוֹ׃ סcha.ta.ToH2403.

9Nowנָ֣אna'H4994hearשִׁמְעוּ־shim.'u-H8085thisזֹ֗אתZotH2063,O leadersרָאשֵׁי֙ra.SheiH7218of the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290and rulersוּקְצִינֵ֖יu.ke.tzi.NeiH7101of the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,who despiseהַֽמֲתַעֲבִ֣יםha.ma.ta.'a.VimH8581justiceמִשְׁפָּ֔טmish.PatH4941וְאֵ֥תve.'EtH853and pervertיְעַקֵּֽשׁוּ׃ye.'a.Ke.shuH6140allכָּל־kol-H3605that is rightהַיְשָׁרָ֖הhay.sha.RahH3477,

10who buildבֹּנֶ֥הbo.NehH1129Zionצִיּ֖וֹןtzi.YonH6726with bloodshedבְּדָמִ֑יםbe.da.MimH1818and Jerusalemוִירוּשָׁלִַ֖םvi.ru.sha.LimH3389with iniquityבְּעַוְלָֽה׃be.'av.LahH5766.

11Her leadersרָאשֶׁ֣יהָ׀ra.Shei.haH7218judgeיִשְׁפֹּ֗טוּyish.Po.tuH8199for a bribeבְּשֹׁ֣חַדbe.Sho.chadH7810,her priestsוְכֹהֲנֶ֙יהָ֙ve.kho.ha.Nei.haH3548teachיוֹר֔וּyo.RuH3384for a priceבִּמְחִ֣ירbim.ChirH4242,and her prophetsוּנְבִיאֶ֖יהָu.ne.vi.'Ei.haH5030practice divinationיִקְסֹ֑מוּyik.So.muH7080for moneyבְּכֶ֣סֶףbe.Khe.sefH3701.Yet they leanיִשָּׁעֵ֣נוּyi.sha.'E.nuH8172uponוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Is notהֲל֤וֹאha.Lo'H3808the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068among usבְּקִרְבֵּ֔נוּbe.kir.Be.nuH7130?Noלֹֽא־lo'-H3808disasterרָעָֽה׃ra.'AhH7451can comeתָב֥וֹאta.Vo'H935upon usעָלֵ֖ינוּ'a.Lei.nuH5921.”

12Thereforeלָכֵן֙la.KhenH3651,because of youבִּגְלַלְכֶ֔םbig.lal.KhemH1558,Zionצִיּ֖וֹןtzi.YonH6726will be plowedתֵֽחָרֵ֑שׁte.cha.ReshH2790like a fieldשָׂדֶ֣הsa.DehH7704,Jerusalemוִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙vi.ru.sha.LimH3389will becomeתִּֽהְיֶ֔הtih.YehH1961a heap of rubbleעִיִּ֣ין'i.YinH5856,and the templeהַבַּ֖יִתha.Ba.yitH1004mountוְהַ֥רve.HarH2022a woodedיָֽעַר׃ פYa.'arH3293ridgeלְבָמ֥וֹתle.va.MotH1116.
