2Then the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Gideonגִּדְע֔וֹןgid.'onH1439, “You haveאִתָּ֔ךְ'i.TakhH854too manyרַ֗בRavH7227menהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834for Me to deliverמִתִּתִּ֥יmi.ti.TiH5414Midianמִדְיָ֖ןmid.YanH4080אֶת־'et-H853into their handsבְּיָדָ֑םbe.ya.DamH3027,lestפֶּן־pen-H6435Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478glorify themselvesיִתְפָּאֵ֨רyit.pa.'ErH6286over Meעָלַ֤י'a.LaiH5921,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, ‘My own handיָדִ֖יya.DiH3027has savedהוֹשִׁ֥יעָהho.Shi.'ahH3467me.’

3Nowנָ֜אna'H4994,thereforeוְעַתָּ֗הve.'a.TahH6258,proclaimקְרָ֨אke.Ra'H7121in the hearingבְּאָזְנֵ֤יbe.'a.ze.NeiH241of the menהָעָם֙ לֵאמֹ֔רha.'Am le.MorH5971 H559: ‘Whoeverמִֽי־mi-H4310is fearfulיָרֵ֣אya.Re'H3373and tremblingוְחָרֵ֔דve.cha.RedH2730may turn backיָשֹׁ֥בya.ShoH7725and leaveוְיִצְפֹּ֖רve.yitz.PorH6852Mountמֵהַ֣רme.HarH2022Gileadהַגִּלְעָ֑דha.gil.'AdH1568.’”So twenty-twoעֶשְׂרִ֤ים וּשְׁנַ֙יִם֙'es.Rim u.she.Na.yimH6242 H8147thousandאֶ֔לֶף'E.lefH505מִן־min-H4480of themהָעָ֗םha.'AmH5971turned backוַיָּ֣שָׁבvai.Ya.shovH7725,but tenוַעֲשֶׂ֥רֶתva.'a.Se.retH6235thousandאֲלָפִ֖ים'a.la.FimH505remainedנִשְׁאָֽרוּ׃ סnish.'A.ruH7604.

7Then the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Gideonגִּדְע֗וֹןgid.'onH1439, “With the threeבִּשְׁלֹשׁ֩bish.LoshH7969hundredמֵא֨וֹתme.'otH3967menהָאִ֤ישׁha.'IshH376who lappedהַֽמֲלַקְקִים֙ha.ma.la.KimH3952the waterI will saveאוֹשִׁ֣יעַ'o.Shi.a'H3467youאֶתְכֶ֔ם'et.KhemH853and deliverוְנָתַתִּ֥יve.na.ta.TiH5414the Midianitesמִדְיָ֖ןmid.YanH4080אֶת־'et-H853into your handבְּיָדֶ֑ךָbe.ya.De.khaH3027.But all the othersוְכָל־ הָעָ֔םve.khol ha.'AmH3605 H5971are to goיֵלְכ֖וּ אִ֥ישׁye.le.Khu 'ishH1980 H376homeלִמְקֹמֽוֹ׃lim.ko.MoH4725.”
