12Thisזֶ֣ה׀zehH2088breadלַחְמֵ֗נוּlach.Me.nuH3899of ours was warmחָ֞םchamH2525when we packedהִצְטַיַּ֤דְנוּhitz.tai.Yad.nuH6679itאֹתוֹ֙'o.ToH853at homeמִבָּ֣תֵּ֔ינוּmi.Ba.Tei.nuH1004on the dayבְּי֥וֹםbe.YomH3117we leftצֵאתֵ֖נוּtze.Te.nuH3318to comeלָלֶ֣כֶתla.Le.khetH1980to youאֲלֵיכֶ֑ם'a.lei.KhemH413.But lookהִנֵּ֣הhi.NehH2009,it is nowוְעַתָּה֙ve.'a.TahH6258dryיָבֵ֔שׁya.VeshH3001andוְהָיָ֖הve.ha.YahH1961moldyנִקֻּדִֽים׃ni.ku.DimH5350.
13Theseוְאֵ֨לֶּהve.'E.lehH428wineskinsנֹאד֤וֹת הַיַּ֙יִן֙no.Dot hai.Ya.yinH4997H3196were newחֲדָשִׁ֔יםcha.da.ShimH2319when we filledמִלֵּ֣אנוּmi.Le.nuH4390themאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834,but lookוְהִנֵּ֖הve.hi.NehH2009,they are crackedהִתְבַּקָּ֑עוּhit.ba.Ka.'uH1234.And theseוְאֵ֤לֶּהve.'E.lehH428clothesשַׂלְמוֹתֵ֙ינוּ֙sal.mo.Tei.nuH8008and sandalsוּנְעָלֵ֔ינוּu.ne.'a.Lei.nuH5275are worn outבָּל֕וּba.LuH1086from our veryמְאֹֽד׃me.'OdH3966longמֵרֹ֥בme.RoH7230journeyהַדֶּ֖רֶךְha.De.rekhH1870.”
15And Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ye.ho.Shu.a'H3091madeוַיַּ֨עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213a treatyבְּרִ֖יתbe.RitH1285of peaceשָׁל֔וֹםsha.LomH7965וַיִּכְרֹ֥תvai.yikh.RotH3772with themto let them liveלְחַיּוֹתָ֑םle.chai.yo.TamH2421,and the leadersנְשִׂיאֵ֖יne.si.'EiH5387of the congregationהָעֵדָֽה׃ha.'e.DahH5712swore an oathוַיִּשָּׁבְע֣וּvai.yi.sha.ve.'UH7650to them.
16וַיְהִ֗יvay.HiH1961מִקְצֵה֙mik.TzehH7097Threeשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969daysיָמִ֔יםya.MimH3117afterאַחֲרֵ֕י'a.cha.ReiH310אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834they had madeכָּרְת֥וּka.re.TuH3772the treatyבְּרִ֑יתbe.RitH1285with the Gibeonites, the Israeliteslearnedוַֽיִּשְׁמְע֗וּvai.yish.me.'UH8085thatכִּי־ki-H3588theyהֵם֙hemH1992wereאֵלָ֔יו'e.LavH413neighborsקְרֹבִ֥יםke.ro.VimH7138,livingיֹשְׁבִֽים׃yo.she.VimH3427among themוּבְקִרְבּ֖וֹ הֵ֥םu.ve.kir.Bo hemH7130H1992.
17So the Israelitesבְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֗לve.nei- Yis.ra.'ElH1121H3478set outוַיִּסְע֣וּvai.yis.'UH5265and on the thirdהַשְּׁלִישִׁ֑יha.she.li.ShiH7992dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117arrivedוַיָּבֹ֛אוּ אֶל־vai.ya.Vo.'u 'el-H935H413at their citiesעָרֵיהֶ֖ם'a.rei.HemH5892וְעָרֵיהֶם֙ve.'a.rei.HemH5892—Gibeonגִּבְע֣וֹןgiv.'onH1391,Chephirahוְהַכְּפִירָ֔הve.ha.ke.fi.RahH3716,Beerothוּבְאֵר֖וֹתu.ve.'e.RotH881,and Kiriath-jearimH7157.
18But the Israelitesבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔לbe.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121H3478did notוְלֹ֤אve.Lo'H3808attack themהִכּוּם֙hi.KumH5221,becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588the leadersנְשִׂיאֵ֣יne.si.'EiH5387of the congregationהָֽעֵדָ֔הha.'e.DahH5712had sworn an oathנִשְׁבְּע֤וּnish.be.'UH7650to themby the LORDבַּֽיהוָ֖הba.Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478.And the wholeכָל־khol-H3605congregationהָעֵדָ֖הha.'e.DahH5712grumbledוַיִּלֹּ֥נוּvai.yi.Lo.nuH3885againstעַל־'al-H5921the leadersהַנְּשִׂיאִֽים׃ha.ne.si.'ImH5387.
19Allכָל־khol-H3605the leadersהַנְּשִׂיאִים֙ אֶל־ha.ne.si.'Im 'el-H5387H413answeredוַיֹּאמְר֤וּvai.yo.me.RuH559כָּל־kol-H3605הָ֣עֵדָ֔הha.'e.DahH5712, “Weאֲנַ֙חְנוּ֙'a.Nach.nuH587have sworn an oathנִשְׁבַּ֣עְנוּnish.Ba'.nuH7650to themby the LORDבַּֽיהוָ֖הba.Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and nowוְעַתָּ֕הve.'a.TahH6258we cannotלֹ֥א נוּכַ֖לlo' nu.KhalH3808H3201touchלִנְגֹּ֥עַlin.Go.a'H5060them.
20Thisזֹ֛אתzotH2063is how we will treatנַעֲשֶׂ֥הna.'a.SehH6213them:We will let them liveוְהַחֲיֵ֣הve.ha.cha.YehH2421אוֹתָ֑ם'o.TamH853,so that noוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808wrathקֶ֔צֶףKe.tzefH7110will fallיִֽהְיֶ֤הyih.YehH1961on usעָלֵ֙ינוּ֙'a.Lei.nuH5921because ofעַל־'al-H5921the oathהַשְּׁבוּעָ֖הha.she.vu.'AhH7621אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834we sworeנִשְׁבַּ֥עְנוּnish.Ba'.nuH7650to them.”
21Theyהַנְּשִׂיאִ֖יםha.ne.si.'ImH5387continuedוַיֹּאמְר֧וּ אֲלֵיהֶ֛םvai.yo.me.Ru 'a.lei.HemH559H413, “Let them liveיִֽחְי֑וּyich.YuH2421,but let them beוַ֠יִּֽהְיוּVai.yih.yuH1961woodcuttersחֹטְבֵ֨י עֵצִ֤יםcho.te.Vei 'e.TzimH2404H6086and waterמַ֙יִם֙ma.yimH4325carriersוְשֹֽׁאֲבֵי־ve.sho.'a.vei-H7579for the wholeלְכָל־le.kholH3605congregationהָ֣עֵדָ֔הha.'e.DahH5712.”Soכַּאֲשֶׁ֛רka.'a.SherH834the leadersהַנְּשִׂיאִֽים׃ha.ne.si.'ImH5387kept their promiseדִּבְּר֥וּdi.be.RuH1696.
