15וְהָיָה֙ve.ha.YahH1961The one who is caughtהַנִּלְכָּ֣דha.nil.KadH3920with the things devoted to destructionבַּחֵ֔רֶםba.Che.remH2764must be burnedיִשָּׂרֵ֣ף בָּאֵ֔שׁyi.sa.Ref ba.'EshH8313 H784אֹת֖וֹ'o.ToH853,along with allוְאֶת־ve.'EtH853that belongs to himכָּל־kol-H3605אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834,becauseכִּ֤יkiH3588he has transgressedעָבַר֙'a.VarH5674אֶת־'et-H853the covenantבְּרִ֣יתbe.RitH1285of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068andוְכִֽי־ve.khi-H3588committedעָשָׂ֥ה'a.SahH6213an outrageנְבָלָ֖הne.va.LahH5039in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃be.Yis.ra.'ElH3478.’”

16So Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ye.ho.Shu.a'H3091arose earlyוַיַּשְׁכֵּ֤םvai.yash.KemH7925the next morningבַּבֹּ֔קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242and had Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478come forwardוַיַּקְרֵ֥בvai.yak.RevH7126אֶת־'et-H853tribe by tribeלִשְׁבָטָ֑יוlish.va.TavH7626,and the tribeשֵׁ֥בֶטShe.vetH7626of Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ye.hu.DahH3063was selectedוַיִּלָּכֵ֖דvai.yi.la.KhedH3920.

17He had the clansמִשְׁפַּ֣חַתmish.Pa.chatH4940of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063come forwardוַיַּקְרֵב֙vai.yak.RevH7126אֶת־'et-H853,and the clanמִשְׁפַּ֣חַתmish.Pa.chatH4940of the Zerahitesהַזַּרְחִ֑יha.zar.ChiH2227was selectedוַיִּלְכֹּ֕דvai.yil.KodH3920אֵ֖ת'etH853.He had the clanמִשְׁפַּ֤חַתmish.Pa.chatH4940of the Zerahitesהַזַּרְחִי֙ha.zar.ChiH2227come forwardוַיַּקְרֵ֞בvai.yak.RevH7126אֶת־'et-H853,and the familyלַגְּבָרִ֔יםla.ge.va.RimH1397of Zabdiזַבְדִּֽי׃zav.DiH2067was selectedוַיִּלָּכֵ֖דvai.yi.la.KhedH3920.

19So Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Achanעָכָ֗ן'a.KhanH5912, “My sonבְּנִי֙be.NiH1121,giveשִֽׂים־sim-H7760gloryכָב֗וֹדkha.VodH3519to the LORDלַֽיהוָ֛הla.Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and makeוְתֶן־ve.ten-H5414a confessionתוֹדָ֑הto.DahH8426to Him.I urge youנָ֣אna'H4994to tellוְהַגֶּד־ נָ֥אve.ha.ged- na'H5046 H4994mewhatמֶ֣הmehH4100you have doneעָשִׂ֔יתָ'a.Si.taH6213;do notאַל־'al-H408hideתְּכַחֵ֖דte.kha.ChedH3582itfrom meמִמֶּֽנִּי׃mi.Me.niH4480.”
