16“Goלֵּ֔כוּLe.khuH1980to the hill countryהָהָ֣רָהha.Ha.rahH2022,”she saidוַתֹּ֤אמֶרva.To.merH559, “so that your pursuersהָרֹדְפִ֑יםha.ro.de.FimH7291will notפֶּֽן־pen-H6435findיִפְגְּע֥וּyif.ge.'UH6293you.Hide yourselvesוְנַחְבֵּתֶ֨םve.nach.be.TemH2247thereשָׁ֜מָּהSha.mahH8033for threeשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969daysיָמִ֗יםya.MimH3117untilעַ֚ד'adH5704theyהָרֹֽדְפִ֔יםha.ro.de.FimH7291have returnedשׁ֣וֹבShovH7725;thenוְאַחַ֖רve.'a.CharH310goתֵּלְכ֥וּte.le.KhuH1980on your wayלְדַרְכְּכֶֽם׃le.dar.ke.KhemH1870.”

17The menהָאֲנָשִׁ֑יםha.'a.na.ShimH582saidוַיֹּאמְר֥וּvai.yo.me.RuH559to herאֵלֶ֖יהָ'e.Lei.haH413, “Weאֲנַ֔חְנוּ'a.Nach.nuH587will not be boundנְקִיִּ֣םne.ki.YimH5355by thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834oathמִשְּׁבֻעָתֵ֥ךְmi.she.vu.'a.TekhH7621you made us swearהִשְׁבַּעְתָּֽנוּ׃hish.ba'.Ta.nuH7650

19וְהָיָ֡הve.ha.YahH1961If anyoneכֹּ֣לkolH3605אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834goes outיֵצֵא֩ye.Tze'H3318the doorמִדַּלְתֵ֨יmi.dal.TeiH1817of your houseבֵיתֵ֧ךְ׀vei.TekhH1004into the streetהַח֛וּצָהha.Chu.tzahH2351,his bloodדָּמ֥וֹda.MoH1818will beon his own headבְרֹאשׁ֖וֹve.ro.ShoH7218,and weוַאֲנַ֣חְנוּva.'a.Nach.nuH587will be innocentנְקִיִּ֑םne.ki.YimH5355.But ifאִם־'im-H518a handיָ֖דyadH3027is laidיִֽהְיֶ֤הyih.YehH1961onanyoneוְ֠כֹלVe.kholH3605אֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834with youאִתָּךְ֙'i.toKhH854in the houseבַּבַּ֔יִת תִּֽהְיֶה־ba.Ba.yit tih.yeh-H1004 H1961,his bloodדָּמ֣וֹda.MoH1818will be on our headsבְרֹאשֵׁ֔נוּve.ro.She.nuH7218.

20And ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518you reportתַּגִּ֖ידִיta.Gi.diH5046אֶת־'et-H853our missionדְּבָרֵ֣נוּ זֶ֑הde.va.Re.nu ZehH1697 H2088,we will beוְהָיִ֣ינוּve.ha.Yi.nuH1961releasedנְקִיִּ֔םne.ki.YimH5355from the oathמִשְּׁבֻעָתֵ֖ךְmi.she.vu.'a.TekhH7621אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you made us swearהִשְׁבַּעְתָּֽנוּ׃hish.ba'.Ta.nuH7650.”

21“Let itה֔וּאHu'H1931be as you sayכְּדִבְרֵיכֶ֣ם כֶּן־ke.div.rei.Khem ken-H1697 H3651,”she repliedוַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙va.To.merH559,and she sent them awayוַֽתְּשַׁלְּחֵ֖םva.te.sha.le.ChemH7971.And when they had goneוַיֵּלֵ֑כוּvai.ye.Le.khuH1980,she tiedוַתִּקְשֹׁ֛רva.tik.ShorH7194אֶת־'et-H853the scarletהַשָּׁנִ֖יha.sha.NiH8144cordתִּקְוַ֥תtik.VatH8615in the windowבַּחַלּֽוֹן׃ba.cha.LonH2474.

22וַיֵּלְכוּ֙vai.ye.le.KhuH1980So the spies went outוַיָּבֹ֣אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935into the hill countryהָהָ֔רָהha.Ha.rahH2022and stayedוַיֵּ֤שְׁבוּvai.Ye.she.vuH3427thereשָׁם֙shamH8033threeשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969daysיָמִ֔יםya.MimH3117,untilעַד־'ad-H5704their pursuersהָרֹדְפִ֑יםha.ro.de.FimH7291had returnedשָׁ֖בוּSha.vuH7725withoutוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808finding themמָצָֽאוּ׃ma.Tza.'uH4672הָרֹדְפִ֛יםha.ro.de.FimH7291,having searchedוַיְבַקְשׁ֧וּvay.vak.ShuH1245allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605along the roadהַדֶּ֖רֶךְha.De.rekhH1870.

23Then the two menהָֽאֲנָשִׁים֙ha.'a.na.ShimH582started backוַיָּשֻׁ֜בוּ שְׁנֵ֤יvai.ya.Shu.vu she.NeiH7725 H8147,came downוַיֵּרְד֣וּvai.ye.re.DuH3381from the hill countryמֵֽהָהָ֔רme.ha.HarH2022,and crossedוַיַּעַבְרוּ֙vai.ya.'av.RuH5674the river.So they cameוַיָּבֹ֔אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935toאֶל־'el-H413Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091sonבִּן־bin-H1121of Nunנ֑וּןNunH5126and reportedוַיְסַ֨פְּרוּ־vay.Sa.pe.ru-H5608אֵ֥ת'etH853allכָּל־kol-H3605that had happenedהַמֹּצְא֖וֹתha.mo.tze.'otH4672to themאוֹתָֽם׃'o.TamH854.

24“The LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068has surelyכִּֽי־ki-H3588deliveredנָתַ֧ןna.TanH5414the entireכָּל־kol-H3605landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776into our handsבְּיָדֵ֖נוּbe.ya.De.nuH3027,”they saidוַיֹּאמְרוּ֙vai.yo.me.RuH559toאֶל־'el-H413Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091אֶת־'et-H853. “Indeedוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571,allכָּל־kol-H3605who dwellיֹשְׁבֵ֥יyo.she.VeiH3427in the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776are melting in fearנָמֹ֛גוּna.Mo.guH4127of usמִפָּנֵֽינוּ׃ סmi.pa.Nei.nuH6440.”
