40Forכִּֽי־ki-H3588I lift upאֶשָּׂ֥א'e.Sa'H5375My handיָדִ֑יya.DiH3027toאֶל־'el-H413heavenשָׁמַ֖יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064and declareוְאָמַ֕רְתִּיve.'a.Mar.tiH559:As surely as Iאָנֹכִ֖י'a.no.KhiH595liveחַ֥יchaiH2416foreverלְעֹלָֽם׃le.'o.LamH5769,

41whenאִם־'im-H518I sharpenשַׁנּוֹתִי֙sha.no.TiH8150My flashingבְּרַ֣קbe.RakH1300swordחַרְבִּ֔יchar.BiH2719,and My handיָדִ֑יya.DiH3027grasps itוְתֹאחֵ֥זve.to.ChezH270in judgmentבְּמִשְׁפָּ֖טbe.mish.PatH4941,I will takeאָשִׁ֤יב'a.ShivH7725vengeanceנָקָם֙na.KamH5359on My adversariesלְצָרָ֔יle.tza.RaiH6862and repayאֲשַׁלֵּֽם׃'a.sha.LemH7999those who hate Meוְלִמְשַׂנְאַ֖יve.lim.san.'AiH8130.

42I will make My arrowsחִצַּי֙chi.TzaiH2671drunkאַשְׁכִּ֤יר'ash.KirH7937with bloodמִדָּ֔םmi.DamH1818,while My swordוְחַרְבִּ֖יve.char.BiH2719devoursתֹּאכַ֣לto.KhalH398fleshבָּשָׂ֑רba.SarH1320—the bloodמִדַּ֤םmi.DamH1818of the slainחָלָל֙cha.LalH2491and captivesוְשִׁבְיָ֔הve.shiv.YahH7633,the headsמֵרֹ֖אשׁme.RoshH7218of the enemyאוֹיֵֽב׃'o.YevH341leadersH6545.”
