12Ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588a fellowאָחִ֣יךָ'a.Chi.kKhaH251Hebrewהָֽעִבְרִ֗יha.'iv.RiH5680,a man orא֚וֹ'oH176a womanהָֽעִבְרִיָּ֔הha.'iv.ri.YahH5680,is soldיִמָּכֵ֨רyi.ma.KherH4376to youand serves youוַעֲבָֽדְךָ֖va.'a.va.de.KhaH5647sixשֵׁ֣שׁsheshH8337yearsשָׁנִ֑יםsha.NimH8141,then in the seventhהַשְּׁבִיעִ֔תha.she.vi.'ItH7637yearוּבַשָּׁנָה֙u.va.sha.NahH8141you must set himתְּשַׁלְּחֶ֥נּוּte.shal.le.Che.nuH7971freeחָפְשִׁ֖י מֵעִמָּֽךְ׃cha.fe.Shi me.'i.MakhH2670 H5973.

13And whenוְכִֽי־ve.khi-H3588you release himתְשַׁלְּחֶ֥נּוּ חָפְשִׁ֖י מֵֽעִמָּ֑ךְte.shal.le.Che.nu cha.fe.Shi me.'i.MakhH7971 H2670 H5973,do notלֹ֥אlo'H3808send him awayתְשַׁלְּחֶ֖נּוּte.shal.le.Che.nuH7971empty-handedרֵיקָֽם׃rei.KamH7387.

14You are to furnish him liberallyH6059from your flockמִצֹּ֣אנְךָ֔mi.Tzo.ne.khaH6629,your threshing floorוּמִֽגָּרְנְךָ֖u.mi.ga.re.ne.KhaH1637,and your winepressוּמִיִּקְבֶ֑ךָu.mi.yik.Ve.chaH3342.You shall giveתִּתֶּן־ti.ten-H5414to himasאֲשֶׁ֧ר'a.SherH834the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430has blessed youבֵּרַכְךָ֛be.rakh.KhaH1288.

15Rememberוְזָכַרְתָּ֗ve.za.khar.TaH2142thatכִּ֣יkiH3588you wereהָיִ֙יתָ֙ha.Yi.taH1961slavesעֶ֤בֶד'E.vedH5650in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,and the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430redeemed youוַֽיִּפְדְּךָ֖vai.yif.de.KhaH6299;that is whyעַל־ כֵּ֞ן'al- kenH5921 H3651Iאָנֹכִ֧י'a.no.KhiH595am givingמְצַוְּךָ֛me.tza.ve.KhaH6680youאֶת־'et-H853thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088commandהַדָּבָ֥רha.da.VarH1697todayהַיּֽוֹם׃hai.YomH3117.

16וְהָיָה֙ve.ha.YahH1961But ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588your servant saysיֹאמַ֣רyo.MarH559to youאֵלֶ֔יךָ'e.Lei.khaH413, ‘I do notלֹ֥אlo'H3808want to leaveאֵצֵ֖א'e.Tze'H3318youמֵעִמָּ֑ךְme.'i.MakhH5973,’becauseכִּ֤יkiH3588he lovesאֲהֵֽבְךָ֙'a.he.ve.KhaH157youוְאֶת־ve.'EtH853and your householdבֵּיתֶ֔ךָbei.Te.khaH1004andכִּי־ki-H3588is well offט֥וֹבTovH2895with youעִמָּֽךְ׃'i.MakhH5973,

17then takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֣ve.la.kach.TaH3947אֶת־'et-H853an awlהַמַּרְצֵ֗עַha.mar.Tze.a'H4836and pierceוְנָתַתָּ֤הve.na.ta.TahH5414itthrough his earבְאָזְנוֹ֙ve.'a.ze.NoH241into the doorוּבַדֶּ֔לֶתu.va.De.letH1817,and he will becomeוְהָיָ֥הve.ha.YahH1961yourservantעֶ֣בֶד'E.vedH5650for lifeעוֹלָ֑םo.LamH5769.Andוְאַ֥ףve.'AfH637treatתַּעֲשֶׂה־ta.'a.seh-H6213your maidservantלַאֲמָתְךָ֖la.'a.ma.te.KhaH519the same wayכֵּֽן׃KenH3651.

18Do notלֹא־lo'-H3808regard itבְעֵינֶ֗ךָve.'ei.Ne.khaH5869as a hardshipיִקְשֶׁ֣ה מֵֽעִמָּ֔ךְyik.Sheh me.'i.MakhH7185 H5973to setבְּשַׁלֵּֽחֲךָ֙be.sha.le.cha.KhaH7971your servantאֹת֤וֹ'o.ToH853freeחָפְשִׁי֙cha.fe.ShiH2670,becauseכִּ֗יKiH3588his sixשֵׁ֣שׁsheshH8337yearsשָׁנִ֑יםsha.NimH8141of serviceעֲבָֽדְךָ֖'a.va.de.KhaH5647were worth twiceמִשְׁנֶה֙mish.NehH4932the wagesשְׂכַ֣רse.KharH7939of a hired handשָׂכִ֔ירsa.KhirH7916.And the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430will bless youוּבֵֽרַכְךָ֙u.ve.rakh.KhaH1288in allבְּכֹ֖לbe.KholH3605אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you doתַּעֲשֶֽׂה׃ פta.'a.SehH6213.
