10But seatוְ֠הוֹשִׁיבוּVe.ho.shi.vuH3427twoשְׁנַ֨יִם אֲנָשִׁ֥ים בְּנֵֽי־she.Na.yim 'a.na.Shim be.nei-H8147 H582 H1121scoundrelsבְלִיַּעַל֮ve.li.ya.'AlH1100opposite himנֶגְדּוֹ֒neg.DoH5048and have them testifyוִיעִדֻ֣הוּ לֵאמֹ֔רvi.'i.Du.hu le.MorH5749 H559, ‘You have cursedבֵּרַ֥כְתָּbe.Rakh.taH1288bothGodאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430and the kingוָמֶ֑לֶךְva.Me.lekhH4428!’Then take him outוְהוֹצִיאֻ֥הוּve.ho.tzi.'U.huH3318and stone himוְסִקְלֻ֖הוּve.sik.Lu.huH5619to deathוְיָמֹֽת׃ve.ya.MotH4191.”

12They proclaimedקָרְא֖וּka.re.'UH7121a fastצ֑וֹםTzomH6685and gaveוְהֹשִׁ֥יבוּve.ho.Shi.vuH3427אֶת־'et-H853Nabothנָב֖וֹתna.VotH5022a seat of honorבְּרֹ֥אשׁbe.RoshH7218among the peopleהָעָֽם׃ha.'AmH5971.

13And the twoשְׁנֵ֨יshe.NeiH8147scoundrelsהָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים בְּנֵֽי־ בְלִיַּעַל֮ha.'a.na.Shim be.nei- ve.li.ya.'AlH1100 H582 H1121came inוַ֠יָּבֹאוּVai.ya.vo.'uH935and satוַיֵּשְׁב֣וּvai.ye.she.VuH3427oppositeנֶגְדּוֹ֒neg.DoH5048Naboth,andהַבְּלִיַּ֜עַלha.be.li.Ya.'alH1100these menאֶת־'et-H853אַנְשֵׁ֨י'an.SheiH582testifiedוַיְעִדֻהוּ֩vay.'i.du.HuH5749againstנָב֗וֹתna.VotH5022himbeforeנֶ֤גֶדNe.gedH5048the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Nabothנָב֛וֹתna.VotH5022has cursedבֵּרַ֥ךְbe.RakhH1288bothGodאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430and the kingוָמֶ֑לֶךְva.Me.lekhH4428!”So they took himוַיֹּצִאֻ֙הוּ֙vai.yo.tzi.'U.huH3318outsideמִח֣וּץmi.ChutzH2351the cityלָעִ֔ירla.'IrH5892and stoned himוַיִּסְקְלֻ֥הוּvai.yis.ke.Lu.huH5619to deathוַיָּמֹֽת׃vai.ya.MotH4191בָאֲבָנִ֖יםva.'a.va.NimH68.

14Then they sentוַֽיִּשְׁלְח֖וּvai.yish.le.ChuH7971word toאֶל־'el-H413Jezebelאִיזֶ֣בֶל לֵאמֹ֑ר'i.Ze.vel le.MorH348 H559: “Nabothנָב֖וֹתna.VotH5022has been stonedסֻקַּ֥לsu.KalH5619to deathוַיָּמֹֽת׃vai.ya.MotH4191.”

15וַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961When Jezebelאִיזֶ֔בֶל'i.Ze.velH348heardכִּשְׁמֹ֣עַkish.Mo.a'H8085thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588Nabothנָב֖וֹתna.VotH5022had been stonedסֻקַּ֥לsu.KalH5619to deathוַיָּמֹ֑תvai.ya.MotH4191, sheאִיזֶ֜בֶל'i.Ze.velH348saidוַתֹּ֨אמֶרva.To.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Ahabאַחְאָ֗ב'ach.'AvH256, “Get upק֣וּםkumH6965and take possession ofרֵ֞שׁreshH3423אֶת־'et-H853the vineyardכֶּ֣רֶם׀Ke.remH3754of Nabothנָב֣וֹתna.VotH5022the Jezreeliteהַיִּזְרְעֵאלִ֗יhai.yiz.re.'e.LiH3158,whoאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834refusedמֵאֵן֙me.'EnH3985to give itלָתֶת־la.tet-H5414to youfor silverבְכֶ֔סֶףve.Khe.sefH3701.Forכִּ֣יkiH3588Nabothנָב֛וֹתna.VotH5022is no longerאֵ֥ין'einH369aliveחַ֖יchaiH2416,butכִּי־ki-H3588deadמֵֽת׃MetH4191.”

16Andוַיְהִ֛יvay.HiH1961when Ahabאַחְאָ֖ב'ach.'AvH256heardכִּשְׁמֹ֥עַkish.Mo.a'H8085thatכִּ֣יkiH3588Nabothנָב֑וֹתna.VotH5022was deadמֵ֣תmetH4191,heאַחְאָ֗ב'ach.'AvH256got upוַיָּ֣קָםvai.Ya.komH6965andwentלָרֶ֛דֶתla.Re.detH3381downאֶל־'el-H413to take possessionלְרִשְׁתּֽוֹ׃ סle.rish.ToH3423of the vineyardכֶּ֛רֶםKe.remH3754of Nabothנָב֥וֹתna.VotH5022the Jezreeliteהַיִּזְרְעֵאלִ֖יhai.yiz.re.'e.LiH3158.

17Then the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068cameוַיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961toאֶל־'el-H413Elijahאֵלִיָּ֥הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452the Tishbiteהַתִּשְׁבִּ֖יha.tish.BiH8664,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

18“Get upק֣וּםkumH6965and go downרֵ֗דRedH3381to meetלִקְרַ֛אתlik.RatH7122Ahabאַחְאָ֥ב'ach.'AvH256kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834is in Samariaבְּשֹׁמְר֑וֹןbe.sho.me.RonH8111.Seeהִנֵּה֙hi.NehH2009, he isin the vineyardבְּכֶ֣רֶםbe.Khe.remH3754of Nabothנָב֔וֹתna.VotH5022,whereאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834he has goneיָ֥רַד שָׁ֖םYa.rad shamH3381 H8033to take possession of itלְרִשְׁתּֽוֹ׃le.rish.ToH3423.

20When Elijahאֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452arrived,Ahabאַחְאָב֙'ach.'AvH256saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to himאֶל־'el-H413, “So you have found me outהַֽמְצָאתַ֖נִיham.tza.Ta.niH4672,my enemyאֹיְבִ֑י'o.ye.ViH341.”He repliedוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “I have found you outמָצָ֔אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672becauseיַ֚עַןYa.'anH3282you have sold yourselfהִתְמַכֶּרְךָ֔hit.ma.ker.KhaH4376to doלַעֲשׂ֥וֹתla.'a.SotH6213evilהָרַ֖עha.Ra'H7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

21This is what the LORD saysהִנְנִ֨יhi.NiH2005: ‘I will bringמֵבִ֤יאme.vi'H935calamityרָעָ֔הra.'AhH7451on youאֵלֶ֙יךָ֙'e.Lei.khaH413and consumeוּבִעַרְתִּ֖יu.vi.'ar.TiH1197your descendantsאַחֲרֶ֑יךָ'a.cha.Rei.khaH310;I will cut offוְהִכְרַתִּ֤יve.hikh.ra.TiH3772from Ahabלְאַחְאָב֙le.'ach.'AvH256every maleמַשְׁתִּ֣יןmash.TinH8366בְּקִ֔ירbe.KirH7023in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃be.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,both slaveוְעָצ֥וּרve.'a.TzurH6113and freeוְעָז֖וּבve.'a.ZuvH5800.

22I will makeוְנָתַתִּ֣יve.na.ta.TiH5414אֶת־'et-H853your houseבֵּיתְךָ֗bei.te.KhaH1004like thatכְּבֵית֙ke.VeitH1004of Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֣םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Nebatנְבָ֔טne.VatH5028and like thatוּכְבֵ֖יתu.khe.VeitH1004of Baashaבַּעְשָׁ֣אba'.Sha'H1201sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Ahijahאֲחִיָּ֑ה'a.chi.YahH281,becauseאֶל־'el-H413you have provokedהִכְעַ֔סְתָּhikh.'As.taH3707My angerהַכַּ֙עַס֙ha.Ka.'asH3708אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834and caused Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478to sinוַֽתַּחֲטִ֖אva.ta.cha.Ti'H2398אֶת־'et-H853.’

23And the LORDיְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹ֑רYah.weh le.MorH3068 H559alsoוְגַ֨ם־ve.Gam-H1571speaksדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696concerning Jezebelלְאִיזֶ֔בֶלle.'i.Ze.velH348: ‘The dogsהַכְּלָבִ֛יםha.ke.la.VimH3611will devourיֹאכְל֥וּyo.khe.LuH398אֶת־'et-H853Jezebelאִיזֶ֖בֶל'i.Ze.velH348by the wallבְּחֵ֥לbe.ChelH2426of Jezreelיִזְרְעֶֽאל׃yiz.re.'ElH3157.’

24Anyone belonging to Ahabלְאַחְאָב֙le.'ach.'AvH256who diesהַמֵּ֤תha.MetH4191in the cityבָּעִ֔ירba.'IrH5892will be eatenיֹאכְל֖וּyo.khe.LuH398by dogsהַכְּלָבִ֑יםha.ke.la.VimH3611,and anyone who diesוְהַמֵּת֙ve.ha.MetH4191in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶ֔הba.sa.DehH7704will be eatenיֹאכְל֖וּyo.khe.LuH398by the birdsע֥וֹףofH5775of the airהַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064.”
