11Whereasוְעַתָּ֗הve.'a.TahH6258my fatherאָבִי֙'a.ViH1burdenedהֶעְמִ֤יסhe'.MisH6006you with a heavyכָּבֵ֔דka.VedH3515yokeעֹ֣ל'olH5923,Iוַאֲנִ֖יva.'a.NiH589will addעֲלֵיכֶם֙ אוֹסִ֣יף'a.lei.Khem 'o.SifH3254 H5921toעַֽל־'al-H5921your yokeעֻלְּכֶ֑ם'u.le.KhemH5923.Whereas my fatherאָבִ֗י'a.ViH1scourgedיִסַּ֤רyi.SarH3256youאֶתְכֶם֙'et.KhemH853with whipsבַּשּׁוֹטִ֔יםba.sho.TimH7752,Iוַאֲנִ֕יva.'a.NiH589will scourgeאֲיַסֵּ֥ר'a.ya.SerH3256youאֶתְכֶ֖ם'et.KhemH853with scorpionsבָּעַקְרַבִּֽים׃ba.'ak.ra.BimH6137.’”

12After threeהַשְּׁלִישִׁ֑יha.she.li.ShiH7992daysבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117,Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֧םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the peopleהָעָ֛םha.'AmH5971returnedוַיָּב֨וֹאvai.ya.vov'H935toאֶל־'el-H413Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֖םre.chav.'AmH7346,sinceכַּאֲשֶׁ֨רka.'a.SherH834the kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ לֵאמֹ֔רha.Me.lekh le.MorH4428 H559had saidדִּבֶּ֤רdi.BerH1696, “Come backשׁ֥וּבוּShu.vuH7725to meאֵלַ֖י'e.LaiH413on the thirdהַשְּׁלִישִֽׁי׃ha.she.li.ShiH7992dayבַּיּ֥וֹםbai.YomH3117.”

13And the kingהַמֶּ֛לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428אֶת־'et-H853answeredוַיַּ֧עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971harshlyקָשָׁ֑הka.ShahH7186.He rejectedוַֽיַּעֲזֹ֛בvai.ya.'a.ZoH5800אֶת־'et-H853the adviceעֲצַ֥ת'a.TzatH6098of the eldersהַזְּקֵנִ֖יםha.ze.ke.NimH2205אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834יְעָצֻֽהוּ׃ye.'a.Tzu.huH3289
