Revised Version 1895
Jeremiah 7:18-22
18The childrenH1121 gatherH3950 woodH6086, and the fathersH1 kindleH1197 the fireH784, and the womenH802 kneadH3888 the doughH1217, to makeH6213 cakesH3561 to the queenH4446 of heavenH8064, and to pourH5258 outH853 drink offerings unto otherH312 godsH430, that they may provokeH3707 meH3707 to angerH3707.
19Do they provokeH3707 meH6440 to angerH3707? saith the LORDH3068; do they notH3808 provokeH3707 themselvesH1992, to the confusion of their ownH6440 facesH6440?
20Therefore thusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: BeholdH2009, mine angerH639 and my furyH2534 shall be pouredH5413 outH5921 uponH5921 this placeH4725, uponH5921 manH120, and uponH5921 beastH929, and uponH5921 the treesH6086 of the fieldH7704, and uponH5921 the fruitH6529 of the groundH127; and it shall burnH1197, and shall notH3808 be quenchedH3518.
21ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478: AddH5595 your burntH5930 offeringsH3068 unto your sacrificesH2077, and eatH398 ye fleshH1320.
22For I spake notH3808 unto your fathersH1, norH3808 commandedH6680 them in the dayH3117 that I broughtH3318 them outH3318 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, concerning burntH5930 offeringsH5930 or sacrificesH2077:
