Revised Version 1895
Jeremiah 16:5-9
5For thusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, EnterH935 notH408 intoH935 the houseH1004 of mourningH4798, neitherH408 goH935 to lamentH5594, neitherH408 bemoan them: for I have takenH622 awayH622 my peaceH7965 from this peopleH5971, saith the LORDH3068, evenH3588 lovingkindness and tender merciesH7356.
6BothH4191 greatH1419 and smallH6996 shall dieH4191 in this landH776: they shall notH3808 be buriedH6912, neitherH3808 shall menH1419 lamentH5594 for them, norH3808 cutH1413 themselvesH1992, norH3808 makeH7139 themselvesH1992 baldH7139 for them:
7neitherH3808 shall men breakH6536 bread for them in mourningH60, to comfortH5162 them for the deadH4191; neitherH3808 shall men giveH8248 them the cupH3563 of consolationH8575 to drinkH8248 for their fatherH1 or for their motherH517.
8And thou shalt notH3808 goH935 intoH935 the houseH1004 of feastingH4960 to sitH3427 with them, to eatH398 and to drinkH8354.
9For thusH3541 saith the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478: BeholdH2005, I will cause to ceaseH7673 outH4480 of this placeH4725, beforeH5869 your eyesH5869 and in your daysH3117, the voiceH6963 of mirthH8057 and the voiceH6963 of gladnessH8057, the voiceH6963 of the bridegroom and the voiceH6963 of the brideH3618.
