29And they cameH935 unto JacobH3290 their fatherH1 unto the landH776 of CanaanH3667, and toldH5046 him allH3605 that had befallen them; sayingH559, 30The manH376, the lordH113 of the landH776, spake roughly with usH5414, and tookH853 usH5414 for spiesH7270 of the countryH776. 31And weH587 saidH559 unto him, WeH587 are trueH3651 menH559; weH587 are noH3808 spiesH7270: 32weH587 be twelveH6240 brethrenH251, sonsH1121 of our fatherH1; one is notH369, and the youngestH6996 is this dayH3117 with our fatherH1 in the landH776 of CanaanH3667. 33And the manH376, the lordH113 of the landH776, saidH559 unto usH413, Hereby shall I knowH3045 that ye are trueH3651 menH376; leaveH3240 one of your brethrenH251 with meH413, and takeH3947 corn for the famineH7459 of your housesH1004, and goH3240 your wayH2063: 34and bringH935 your youngestH6996 brotherH251 unto meH413: then shall I knowH3045 that ye are noH3808 spiesH7270, but that ye are trueH3651 men: soH3651 will I deliverH5414 youH859 your brotherH251, and ye shall traffick in the landH776. 35And it cameH1961 to passH1961 as they emptied their sacksH8242, that, beholdH2009, everyH376 man’sH376 bundle of moneyH3701 was in his sackH8242: and when they and their fatherH1 sawH7200 their bundles of moneyH3701, they were afraidH3372. 36And JacobH3290 their fatherH1 saidH559 unto them, MeH413 have ye bereavedH7921 of my childrenH7921: JosephH3130 is notH369, and SimeonH8095 is notH369, and ye will takeH3947 BenjaminH1144 awayH3947: allH3605 theseH3605 things are againstH5921 meH413. 37And ReubenH7205 spake unto his fatherH1, sayingH559, SlayH4191 my twoH8147 sonsH1121, ifH518 I bringH935 him notH3808 to thee: deliverH5414 him intoH413 my handH3027, and I will bringH935 him to thee againH7725. 38And he saidH559, My sonH1121 shall notH3808 goH3381 downH3381 with youH834; for his brotherH251 is deadH4191, and he onlyH905 is leftH7604: ifH3588 mischief befallH7122 him by the wayH1870 in the whichH834 ye goH3381, then shall ye bringH3381 downH3381 my grayH7872 hairsH7872 with sorrowH3015 to the grave.
