1HezekiahH2396 began to reignH4427 when he was fiveH2568 and twentyH6242 yearsH8141 oldH1121; and he reignedH4427 nineH8672 and twentyH6242 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389: and his mother’sH517 nameH8034 was AbijahH29 the daughterH1323 of ZechariahH2148. 2And he didH6213 that whichH834 was rightH3477 in the eyesH5869 of the LORDH3068, according to allH3605 that DavidH1732 his fatherH1 had doneH6213. 3He in the firstH7223 yearH8141 of his reignH4427, in the firstH7223 monthH2320, openedH6605 the doorH1817 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and repairedH2388 them. 4And he broughtH935 in the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881, and gatheredH622 them togetherH622 intoH935 the broad placeH935 on the eastH4217, 5and saidH559 unto them, HearH8085 meH4480, ye LevitesH3881; nowH6258 sanctifyH6942 yourselves, and sanctifyH6942 the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of your fathersH1, and carryH3318 forthH3318 the filthiness outH3318 of the holyH6944 placeH6944. 6For our fathersH1 have trespassed, and doneH6213 that whichH5869 was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068 our GodH430, and have forsaken him, and have turnedH5437 awayH5437 their facesH6440 from the habitation of the LORDH3068, and turnedH5437 their backsH6203. 7Also they have shutH5462 upH5927 the doorsH1817 of the porchH197, and putH5927 outH853 the lampsH5216, and have notH3808 burnedH6999 incenseH7004 norH3808 offeredH5927 burntH5930 offeringsH3478 in the holyH6944 placeH6944 unto the GodH430 of IsraelH3478. 8Wherefore the wrathH7110 of the LORDH3068 was uponH5921 JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389, and he hath deliveredH5414 them to be tossed to and fro, to be an astonishment, and an hissingH8322, as ye seeH7200 with your eyesH5869. 9For, loH2009, our fathersH1 have fallenH5307 by the swordH2719, and our sonsH1121 and our daughtersH1323 and our wivesH802 are in captivityH7628 for this. 10NowH6258 it is in mineH4480 heartH3824 to makeH3772 a covenantH1285 with the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, that his fierceH2740 angerH639 may turnH7725 awayH7725 from usH7725. 11My sonsH1121, be notH408 nowH6258 negligent: for the LORDH3068 hath chosen youH3588 to standH5975 beforeH6440 him, to ministerH8334 unto him, and that ye should be his ministersH8334, and burnH6999 incenseH6999. 12Then the LevitesH3881 aroseH6965, MahathH4287 the sonH1121 of AmasaiH6022, and JoelH3100 the sonH1121 of AzariahH5838, of the sonsH1121 of the KohathitesH6956: and of the sonsH1121 of MerariH4847, KishH7027 the sonH1121 of AbdiH5660, and AzariahH5838 the sonH1121 of JehallelelH3094: and of the GershonitesH1649, JoahH3098 the sonH1121 of ZimmahH2155, and EdenH5731 the sonH1121 of JoahH3098: 13and of the sonsH1121 of ElizaphanH469, ShimriH8113 and JeuelH3273: and of the sonsH1121 of AsaphH623, ZechariahH2148 and MattaniahH4983: 14and of the sonsH1121 of HemanH1968, Jehuel and ShimeiH8096: and of the sonsH1121 of JeduthunH3038, ShemaiahH8098 and UzzielH5816. 15And they gatheredH622 their brethrenH251, and sanctifiedH6942 themselvesH6942, and wentH935 in, according to the commandmentH4687 of the kingH4428 by the wordsH1697 of the LORDH3068, to cleanseH2891 the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. 16And the priestsH3548 wentH3318 in unto the innerH6441 partH6441 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, to cleanseH2891 it, and broughtH935 outH3318 allH3605 the uncleannessH2932 that they foundH4672 in the templeH1004 of the LORDH3068 intoH935 the courtH2691 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. And the LevitesH3881 tookH3318 it, to carryH3318 it outH3318 abroadH2351 to the brookH5158 KidronH6939. 17NowH3117 they beganH2490 on the firstH7223 dayH3117 of the firstH7223 monthH2320 to sanctifyH6942, and on the eighthH8083 dayH3117 of the monthH2320 cameH935 they to the porchH197 of the LORDH3068; and they sanctifiedH6942 the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 in eightH8083 daysH3117: and on the sixteenth dayH3117 of the firstH7223 monthH2320 they madeH6942 an endH3615. 18Then they wentH935 in to HezekiahH2396 the kingH4428 withinH6441 the palaceH1004, and saidH559, WeH3605 have cleansedH2891 allH3605 the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and the altarH4196 of burntH5930 offering, with allH3605 the vesselsH3627 thereof, and the tableH7979 of shewbread, with allH3605 the vesselsH3627 thereof. 19Moreover allH3605 the vesselsH3627, whichH834 kingH4428 AhazH271 in his reignH4438 didH834 cast awayH3605 when he trespassed, have weH834 preparedH3559 and sanctifiedH6942; and, beholdH2005, they are beforeH6440 the altarH4196 of the LORDH3068. 20Then HezekiahH2396 the kingH4428 aroseH7925 earlyH7925, and gatheredH622 the princesH8269 of the cityH5892, and wentH5927 upH5927 to the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. 21And they broughtH935 sevenH7651 bullocks; and sevenH7651 ramsH352, and sevenH7651 lambsH3532, and sevenH7651 he-goats, for a sinH2403 offering for the kingdomH4467 and for the sanctuaryH4720 and for JudahH3063. And he commandedH559 the priestsH3548 the sonsH1121 of AaronH175 to offerH5927 them on the altarH4196 of the LORDH3068. 22SoH853 they killedH7819 the bullocks, and the priestsH3548 receivedH6901 the bloodH1818, and sprinkledH2236 it on the altarH4196: and they killedH7819 the ramsH352, and sprinkledH2236 the bloodH1818 upon the altarH4196: they killedH7819 also the lambsH3532, and sprinkledH2236 the bloodH1818 upon the altarH4196. 23And they broughtH5066 nearH5066 the he-goats for the sinH2403 offering beforeH6440 the kingH4428 and the congregationH6951; and they laidH5564 their handsH3027 uponH5921 them: 24and the priestsH3548 killedH7819 them, and they madeH3605 a sinH2398 offering with their bloodH1818 uponH5921 the altarH4196, to makeH3588 atonementH3722 for allH3605 IsraelH3478: for the kingH4428 commandedH559 that the burntH5930 offering and the sinH2398 offering should be madeH3605 for allH3605 IsraelH3478. 25And he setH5975 the LevitesH3881 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 with cymbalsH4700 with psalteries, and with harpsH3658, accordingH3027 to the commandmentH4687 of DavidH1732, and of GadH1410 the king’sH4428 seerH2374, and NathanH5416 the prophetH5030: for the commandmentH4687 was of the LORDH3068 by his prophetsH5030. 26And the LevitesH3881 stoodH5975 with the instrumentsH3627 of DavidH1732, and the priestsH3548 with the trumpetsH2689. 27And HezekiahH2396 commandedH559 to offerH5927 the burntH5930 offering uponH5921 the altarH4196, And when the burntH5930 offering beganH2490, the songH7892 of the LORDH3068 beganH2490 also, and the trumpetsH2689, togetherH5921 with the instrumentsH3627 of DavidH1732 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478. 28And allH3605 the congregationH6951 worshipped, and the singersH7891 sangH7891, and the trumpetersH2689 soundedH2690; allH3605 this continued untilH5704 the burntH5930 offering was finishedH3615. 29And when they had madeH3605 an endH3615 of offering, the kingH4428 and allH3605 that were presentH4672 with him bowedH7812 themselvesH7812 and worshipped. 30Moreover HezekiahH2396 the kingH4428 and the princesH8269 commandedH559 the LevitesH3881 to sing praisesH3068 unto the LORDH3068 with the wordsH1697 of DavidH1732, and of AsaphH623 the seerH2374. And they sang praisesH3068 with gladnessH8057, and they bowedH7812 their headsH8269 and worshipped. 31Then HezekiahH2396 answeredH559 and saidH559, NowH6258 ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORDH3068, comeH935 nearH5066 and bringH935 sacrificesH2077 and thankH8426 offeringsH8426 intoH935 the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. And the congregationH6951 broughtH935 in sacrificesH2077 and thankH8426 offeringsH8426; and as many as were of a willingH5081 heartH3820 broughtH935 burntH5930 offeringsH8426. 32And the numberH4557 of the burntH5930 offeringsH3068, whichH834 the congregationH6951 broughtH935, was threescore and ten bullocks, an hundredH3967 ramsH352, and twoH3967 hundredH3967 lambsH3532: allH3605 theseH428 were for a burntH5930 offering to the LORDH3068. 33And the consecratedH6942 things were sixH8337 hundredH3967 oxenH1241 and threeH7969 thousandH505 sheepH6629. 34But the priestsH3548 were tooH3808 fewH4592, soH1961 that they couldH3201 notH3808 flay allH3605 the burntH5930 offeringsH5930: wherefore their brethrenH251 the LevitesH3881 didH3808 help them, tillH5704 the workH4399 was endedH3615, and untilH5704 the priestsH3548 had sanctifiedH6942 themselvesH6942: for the LevitesH3881 were moreH3808 uprightH3477 in heartH3824 to sanctifyH6942 themselvesH6942 thanH3808 the priestsH3548. 35And also the burntH5930 offeringsH8002 were in abundanceH7230, with the fatH2459 of the peaceH8002 offeringsH8002, and with the drink offeringsH8002 for every burntH5930 offering. SoH1571 the serviceH5656 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 was setH3559 in orderH3559. 36And HezekiahH2396 rejoicedH8055, and allH3605 the peopleH5971, becauseH3588 of that whichH1697 GodH430 had preparedH3559 for the peopleH5971: for the thingH1697 was doneH1961 suddenlyH6597.
