Revised Version 1895
Samuel 8:5-9
and they saidH559 unto him, BeholdH2009, thou art oldH1121, and thy sonsH1121 walkH1980 notH3808 in thy waysH1870: nowH6258 makeH7760 usH413 a kingH4428 to judgeH8199 usH413 like allH3605 the nationsH1471.
But the thingH1697 displeasedH7489 SamuelH8050; when they saidH559, GiveH5414 usH5414 a kingH4428 to judgeH8199 usH5414. And SamuelH8050 prayedH6419 unto the LORDH3068.
And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto SamuelH8050, Hearken unto the voiceH6963 of the peopleH5971 in allH3605 that they sayH559 unto thee: for they have notH3808 rejectedH3988 thee, but they have rejectedH3988 meH413, that I should notH3808 be kingH4427 over them.
According to allH3605 the worksH4639 whichH834 they have doneH6213 sinceH834 the dayH3117 that I broughtH5927 them upH5927 outH3605 of EgyptH4714 evenH1571 unto this dayH3117, in that they have forsaken meH5927, and servedH5647 otherH312 godsH430, soH3651 doH6213 they also unto thee.
NowH6258 therefore hearken unto their voiceH6963: howbeit thou shalt protest solemnlyH5749 unto them, and shalt shew them the mannerH4941 of the kingH4428 that shall reignH4427 over them.
