1 Samuel 8:5-9
5And saidH559 unto him, Behold, thou art oldH2204, and thy sonsH1121 walkH1980 not in thy waysH1870: now makeH7760 us a kingH4428 to judgeH8199 us like all the nationsH1471.
6But the thingH1697 displeasedH5869H3415 SamuelH8050, when they saidH559, GiveH5414 us a kingH4428 to judgeH8199 us. And SamuelH8050 prayedH6419 unto YhwhH3068.1 7And YhwhH3068 saidH559 unto SamuelH8050, HearkenH8085 unto the voiceH6963 of the peopleH5971 in all that they sayH559 unto thee: for they have not rejectedH3988 thee, but they have rejectedH3988 me, that I should not reignH4427 over them. 8According to all the worksH4639 which they have doneH6213 since the dayH3117 that I brought them upH5927 out of EgyptH4714 even unto this dayH3117, wherewith they have forsakenH5800 me, and servedH5647 otherH312 godsH430, so doH6213 they also unto thee. 9Now therefore hearkenH8085 unto their voiceH6963: howbeitH389 yet protestH5749 solemnlyH5749 unto them, and shewH5046 them the mannerH4941 of the kingH4428 that shall reignH4427 over them.23
