Revised Version 1895
Samuel 2:27-30
And there cameH935 a manH376 of GodH430 unto EliH5941, and saidH559 unto him, ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, DidH376 I revealH1540 myself unto the houseH1004 of thy fatherH1, when they were in EgyptH4714 in bondage to Pharaoh’sH6547 houseH1004?
and did I chooseH977 him outH6440 of allH3605 the tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478 to be my priestH3548, to goH5927 upH5927 unto mine altarH4196 to burnH6999 incenseH7004, to wearH5927 an ephodH646 beforeH6440 meH5414? and did I giveH5414 unto the houseH1004 of thy fatherH1 allH3605 the offeringsH801 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 madeH5414 by fireH801?
Wherefore kickH1163 ye at my sacrificeH2077 and at mineH4480 offering, whichH834 I have commandedH6680 in my habitationH4583; and honourest thy sonsH1121 aboveH4480 meH4480, to makeH3513 yourselves fat with the chiefest of allH3605 the offeringsH4503 of IsraelH3478 my peopleH5971?
Therefore the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, saith, I saidH559 indeedH3588 that thy houseH1004, and the houseH1004 of thy fatherH1, should walkH1980 beforeH6440 meH6440 for everH5769: but nowH6258 the LORDH3068 saith, Be it farH5704 from meH6440; for them that honour meH6440 I will honour, and they that despiseH959 meH6440 shall be lightlyH7043 esteemedH7043.
