Revised Version 1895
Samuel 18:8-14
And SaulH7586 was veryH3966 wroth, and this sayingH559 displeasedH7489 him; and he saidH559, They have ascribedH5414 unto DavidH1732 tenH7233 thousandsH505, and to meH5414 they have ascribedH5414 but thousandsH505: and whatH1697 canH5869 he have moreH5750 but the kingdomH4410?
And SaulH7586 eyed DavidH1732 from that dayH3117 and forwardH1973.
And it cameH1961 to passH1961 on the morrow, that an evilH7451 spiritH7307 from GodH430 cameH1961 mightily uponH1961 SaulH7586, and he prophesiedH5012 in the midstH8432 of the houseH1004: and DavidH1732 playedH5059 with his handH3027, as he didH3117 dayH3117 by dayH3117: and SaulH7586 had his spearH2595 in his handH3027.
and SaulH7586 castH2904 the spearH2595; for he saidH559, I will smiteH5221 DavidH1732 evenH853 to the wallH7023. And DavidH1732 avoided outH6440 of his presenceH6440 twiceH6471.
And SaulH7586 was afraidH3372 of DavidH1732, becauseH3588 the LORDH3068 was with him, and was departedH5493 from SaulH7586.
Therefore SaulH7586 removedH5493 him from him, and madeH7760 him his captainH8269 over a thousandH505; and he wentH3318 outH3318 and cameH935 in beforeH6440 the peopleH5971.
And DavidH1732 behaved himself wisely in allH3605 his waysH1870; and the LORDH3068 was with him.
