2And ye shall makeתִכְרְת֤וּtikh.re.TuH3772no leagueבְרִית֙ve.RitH1285with the inhabitantsלְיֽוֹשְׁבֵי֙le.yo.she.VeiH3427of this landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776;ye shall throw downתִּתֹּצ֑וּןti.to.TzunH5422their altarsמִזְבְּחוֹתֵיהֶ֖םmiz.be.cho.tei.HemH4196:but ye have not obeyedשְׁמַעְתֶּ֥םshe.ma'.TemH8085my voiceבְּקֹלִ֖יbe.ko.LiH6963:why have ye doneעֲשִׂיתֶֽם׃'a.si.TemH6213this?

3Wherefore I also saidאָמַ֔רְתִּי'a.Mar.tiH559,I will not drive them outאֲגָרֵ֥שׁ'a.ga.ReshH1644from beforeמִפְּנֵיכֶ֑םmi.pe.nei.KhemH6440you; but they shall be as thornsin your sidesלְצִדִּ֔יםle.tzi.DimH6654,and their godsוֵאלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔םve.Lo.hei.HemH430shall be a snareלְמוֹקֵֽשׁ׃le.mo.KeshH4170unto you.

4And it came to pass, when the angelמַלְאַ֤ךְmal.'AkhH4397of Yhwhיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068spakeכְּדַבֵּ֞רke.da.BerH1696these wordsהַדְּבָרִ֣יםha.de.va.RimH1697unto all the childrenבְּנֵ֖יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,that the peopleהָעָ֛םha.'AmH5971lifted upוַיִּשְׂא֥וּvai.yis.'UH5375their voiceקוֹלָ֖םko.LamH6963,and weptוַיִּבְכּֽוּ׃vai.yiv.KuH1058.

5And they calledוַֽיִּקְרְא֛וּvai.yik.re.'UH7121the nameשֵֽׁם־shem-H8034of that placeהַמָּק֥וֹםha.ma.KomH4725Bochimבֹּכִ֑יםbo.KhimH1066:and they sacrificedוַיִּזְבְּחוּ־vai.yiz.be.chu-H2076there unto Yhwhלַֽיהוָֽה׃ פla.Yah.wehH3068.

6And when Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091had let the peopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971goוַיְשַׁלַּ֥חvay.sha.LachH7971,the childrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478wentH3212every manאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376unto his inheritanceלְנַחֲלָת֖וֹle.na.cha.la.ToH5159to possessלָרֶ֥שֶׁתla.Re.shetH3423the landהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

9And they buriedוַיִּקְבְּר֤וּvai.yik.be.RuH6912him in the borderבִּגְב֣וּלbig.VulH1366of his inheritanceנַחֲלָת֔וֹna.cha.la.ToH5159in Timnath–heresH8556,in the mountבְּהַ֣רbe.HarH2022of Ephraimאֶפְרָ֑יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669,on the north sideמִצְּפ֖וֹןmi.tze.FonH6828of the hillלְהַר־le.har-H2022Gaashגָּֽעַשׁ׃Ga.'ashH1608.

10And also all that generationהַדּ֣וֹרha.DorH1755were gatheredנֶאֶסְפ֖וּne.'es.FuH622unto their fathersאֲבוֹתָ֑יו'a.vo.TavH1:and there aroseוַיָּקָם֩vai.ya.KamH6965anotherאַחֵ֜ר'a.CherH312generationדּ֨וֹרDorH1755afterאַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם'a.cha.rei.HemH310them, which knewיָֽדְעוּ֙ya.de.'UH3045not Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,nor yet the worksהַֽמַּעֲשֶׂ֔הha.ma.'a.SehH4639which he had doneעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213for Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ סle.Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

11And the childrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478didוַיַּעֲשׂ֧וּvai.ya.'a.SuH6213evilהָרַ֖עha.Ra'H7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of Yhwhיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and servedוַיַּעַבְד֖וּvai.ya.'av.DuH5647Baalimהַבְּעָלִֽים׃ha.be.'a.LimH1168:

14And the angerאַ֤ף'afH639of Yhwhיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068was hotוַיִּֽחַר־vai.yi.char-H2734against Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לbe.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,and he deliveredוַֽיִּתְּנֵם֙vai.yi.te.NemH5414them into the handsבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of spoilersשֹׁסִ֔יםsho.SimH8154that spoiledוַיָּשֹׁ֖סּוּvai.ya.Sho.suH8155them, and he soldוַֽיִּמְכְּרֵ֞םvai.yim.ke.RemH4376them into the handsבְּיַ֤דbe.YadH3027of their enemiesאֽוֹיְבֵיהֶם֙'oy.vei.HemH341round aboutמִסָּבִ֔יבmi.sa.VivH5439,so that they couldיָכְל֣וּya.khe.LuH3201not any longerע֔וֹדodH5750standלַעֲמֹ֖דla.'a.ModH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440their enemiesאוֹיְבֵיהֶֽם׃'oy.vei.HemH341.

15Whithersoever they went outיָצְא֗וּya.tze.'UH3318,the handיַד־yad-H3027of Yhwhיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068was against them for evilלְרָעָ֔הle.ra.'AhH7451,as Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068had saidדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696,and as Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had swornנִשְׁבַּ֥עnish.Ba'H7650unto them: and they were greatlyמְאֹֽד׃me.'OdH3966distressedוַיֵּ֥צֶרvai.Ye.tzerH3334.

16Nevertheless Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068raised upוַיָּ֥קֶםvai.Ya.kemH6965judgesשֹֽׁפְטִ֑יםsho.fe.TimH8199,which deliveredוַיּ֣וֹשִׁיע֔וּםvai.Yo.o.shi.'UmH3467them out of the handמִיַּ֖דmi.YadH3027of those that spoiledשֹׁסֵיהֶֽם׃sho.sei.HemH8154them.

17And yet they would not hearkenשָׁמֵ֔עוּsha.Me.'uH8085unto their judgesשֹֽׁפְטֵיהֶם֙sho.fe.tei.HemH8199,but they went a whoringזָנ֗וּza.NuH2181afterאַֽחֲרֵי֙'a.cha.ReiH310otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430,and bowedוַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲו֖וּvai.yish.ta.cha.VuH7812themselves unto them: they turnedסָ֣רוּSa.ruH5493quicklyמַהֵ֗רma.HerH4118out of the wayהַדֶּ֜רֶךְha.De.rekhH1870which their fathersאֲבוֹתָ֛ם'a.vo.TamH1walked inהָלְכ֧וּha.le.KhuH1980,obeyingלִשְׁמֹ֥עַlish.Mo.a'H8085the commandmentsמִצְוֹת־mitz.vot-H4687of Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068; butthey didעָ֥שׂוּ'A.suH6213not so.

18And when Yhwhיְהוָ֥ה׀Yah.wehH3068raisedהֵקִ֨יםhe.KimH6965them up judgesשֹֽׁפְטִים֒sho.fe.TimH8199,Then Yhwhיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068was with the judgeהַשֹּׁפֵ֔טha.sho.FetH8199,and deliveredוְהֽוֹשִׁיעָם֙ve.ho.shi.'AmH3467them out of the handמִיַּ֣דmi.YadH3027of their enemiesאֹֽיְבֵיהֶ֔ם'o.ye.vei.HemH341all the daysיְמֵ֣יye.MeiH3117of the judgeהַשּׁוֹפֵ֑טha.sho.FetH8199:for it repentedיִנָּחֵ֤םyi.na.ChemH5162Yhwhיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068becauseמִפְּנֵ֥יmi.pe.NeiH6440of their groaningsמִנַּֽאֲקָתָ֔םmi.na.'a.ka.TamH5009by reason of them that oppressedלֹחֲצֵיהֶ֖םlo.cha.tzei.HemH3905them and vexedוְדֹחֲקֵיהֶֽם׃ve.do.cha.kei.HemH1766them.

19And it came to pass, when the judgeהַשּׁוֹפֵ֗טha.sho.FetH8199was deadH4194, thatthey returnedיָשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ya.Shu.vuH7725,and corruptedוְהִשְׁחִ֣יתוּve.hish.Chi.tuH7843themselvesmore than their fathersמֵֽאֲבוֹתָ֔םme.'a.vo.TamH1,in followingאַֽחֲרֵי֙'a.cha.ReiH310 H3212otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430to serveלְעָבְדָ֖םle.'a.ve.DamH5647them, and to bow downוּלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֹ֣תu.le.hish.ta.cha.VotH7812unto them; they ceasedהִפִּ֙ילוּ֙hi.Pi.luH5307not from their own doingsמִמַּ֣עַלְלֵיהֶ֔םmi.Ma.'a.lei.HemH4611,nor from their stubbornהַקָּשָֽׁה׃ha.ka.ShahH7186wayוּמִדַּרְכָּ֖םu.mi.dar.KamH1870.

20And the angerאַ֥ף'afH639of Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068was hotוַיִּֽחַר־vai.yi.char-H2734against Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לbe.Yis.ra.'ElH3478;and he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Because that this peopleהַגּ֣וֹיha.GoyH1471hath transgressedעָבְר֜וּ'a.ve.RuH5674my covenantבְּרִיתִי֙be.ri.TiH1285which I commandedצִוִּ֣יתִיtzi.Vi.tiH6680their fathersאֲבוֹתָ֔ם'a.vo.TamH1,and have not hearkenedשָׁמְע֖וּsha.me.'UH8085unto my voiceלְקוֹלִֽי׃le.ko.LiH6963;

21I also will not henceforthאוֹסִ֔יף'o.SifH3254drive outלְהוֹרִ֥ישׁle.ho.RishH3423anyאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376from beforeמִפְּנֵיהֶ֑םmi.pe.nei.HemH6440them of the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֛םha.go.YimH1471which Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091leftעָזַ֥ב'a.ZavH5800when he diedוַיָּמֹֽת׃vai.ya.MotH4191:
