Ezekiel 24:17-27
17GroanH602 silentlyH1826; doH6213 1noH3808 mourningH60 for the deadH4191. BindH2280 on your turbanH6287 and putH7760 your sandalsH5275 on your feetH7272, and do not 2coverH5844 your mustacheH8222, and 3do not eatH398 the 4breadH3899 of other peopleH376.” 18So I spokeH1696 to the peopleH5971 in the morningH1242, and in the eveningH6153 my wifeH802 diedH4191. And in the morningH1242 I didH6213 as I was commandedH6680. 19And the peopleH5971 saidH559 to me, “Will you not tellH5046 us whatH4100 theseH428 thingsH428 mean for us, that you are doingH6213?” 20Then I saidH559 to them, “The wordH1697 of the LordH3068 cameH1961 to me, sayingH559, 21‘SpeakH559 to the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, “ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH136 GodH3068 saysH559: ‘BeholdH2009, I am about to profaneH2490 My sanctuaryH4720, the prideH1347 of your powerH5797, 5that whichH4261 isH4261 preciousH4261 in your eyesH5869 and the longingH4263 of your soulH5315; and your 6sonsH1121 and your daughtersH1323 whomH834 you have leftH5800 behindH5800 will fallH5307 by the swordH2719. 22And you will doH6213 justH3512 asH3512 I have doneH6213; you will not 7coverH5844 your mustacheH8222, and you will not eatH398 the 8breadH3899 of other peopleH376. 23Your turbansH6287 will be on your headsH7218, and your sandalsH5275 on your feetH7272. You 9will not mournH5594 and you will not weepH1058; but 10you will rotH4743 awayH4743 in your guiltyH5771 deedsH5771, and you will groanH5098 11to oneH376 anotherH251. 24So EzekielH3168 will be a 12signH4159 to you; according to allH3605 that he has doneH6213, you will doH6213. When it comesH935, then you will knowH3045 that I am the LordH136 GodH3068.’”
25‘As for you, sonH1121 of manH120, will it not be on the dayH3117 when I takeH3947 from them their 13strongholdH4581, the joyH4885 of their splendorH8597, that whichH4261 is preciousH4261 in their eyesH5869 and their 14heart’sH5315 longingH4853, their sonsH1121 and their daughtersH1323, 26that on that dayH3117 the one whoH6412 15escapesH6412 will comeH935 to you with informationH2045 for your earsH241? 27On that dayH3117 your 16mouthH6310 will be openedH6605 to him whoH6412 escapedH6412, and you will speakH1696 and noH3808 longerH5750 be silencedH481. So you will be a signH4159 to them, and they will knowH3045 that I am the LordH3068.’”
